...bittersweet.

"Galvatron, why do we have to fight??"

Starscream was trying to reason with Galvatron (aka Megatron), knowing that this was probably his last chance to talk it over with the Decepticon leader. His comrades were standing around, watching the interaction unfold. He kneeled before his general, pleading. "For just this once can't you put aside your petty argument with Optimus?"

Galvatron was not going to give him the light of day. "That's enough. How dare you question me Starscream."

"But if we don't join forces with the Autobots, chances are good that both sides won't survive the wrath of Unicron." Starscream said. Galvatron grumbled.

"You're testing my patience."

Starscream mentally sighed. "I'm just worried there won't be a second chance before Unicron destroys the universe as we know it." Whether he was talking about Galvatron's plan to take over the universe or about allying with the Autobots to end the war was up to interpretation; he most likely made it that way.

Galvatron almost interrupted Starscream. "Enough about Unicron! I'm sick and tired of listening to your pathetic whining. And the day will soon come when Unicron is defeated!"

"It will be too late!" Starscream scooted forward, keeping his helm tilted to the floor. He was desperate to get Megatron to see.

Galvatron turned away from Starscream, rounding back to the simple fact: "You simpleton, Optimus and I are sworn enemies!" Never would he consider it a probability. Galvatron was getting a little frustrated with the seeker.

Starscream looked back up. "But Galvatron sir, I don't think Optimus would make this offer unless he truly believed it."

Galvatron grimaced, turning around and slapping Starscream, Starscream flying back into the wall. He groaned, standing up. Galvatron stood tall, the star saber sword activated in his left servo.

"Let me give you fair warning Starscream: don't you dare cross me again."

Starscream shivered, words catching on his voicebox. "I would never!- You've got to believe me!" He kneeled down again, pleading more out of fear now. "I beg of you sir, listen, you and Optimus must put aside your differences right away, or there will be nothing left to defend on ether side!- Don't you realize the gravity of this?!"

Cyclonus interrupted the conversation, brushing Starscream off. "Would you give it a rest, Galvatron knows what he's doing."

"Yeah, unless of course you're ready to jump ship again you useless traitor." Demolisher added, with a bit of salt.

Tital Wave chuckled at the misfortune. Starscream glared at them.

"Go ahead and laugh, but soon that pea-brain of yours will be sorry!"

Galvatron chuckled lowly, seeing as Starscream was humiliated he decided to explain himself. "Oh I think Optimus is the one who will be sorry as soon as I defeat him, and that goes for Unicron as well." He turned to look down at the planet.

"Huh??" Starscream was bewildered at Megatron's train of thought. He stood, also gazing down to the hundreds of troops, awaiting the command of Galvatron.

"You see my dear Starscream, there can only be one supreme commander of the universe, and trust me, in due course I will eliminate my competition."

Starscream doubled over with disbelief. "I can't believe you still think you can defeat Unicron all by your-"

Galvatron interrupted, turning to glance at the seeker. "I don't care what you believe, I will destroy Optimus first and then I'll worry about Unicron."
