Flash back to high school

Axel, a cheerful aqua blue mountain lion with light blue spots, bounced through the hallways, his tail swishing behind him. He was a popular student, known for his bright smile and infectious laughter.

Ragely, a dark purple mountain lion with yellow stripes and a muscular build, strode through the same halls, his eyes fixed on the floor. He was a loner, feared and respected by his peers for his intelligence and intimidating demeanor.

One day, their paths crossed in the school library. Axel, researching a project, accidentally knocked over a bookshelf, sending books tumbling to the floor. Ragely, studying nearby, looked up, his eyes narrowing.

Axel, flustered, rushed to pick up the books. Ragely approached him, his deep voice commanding, "Let me help you."

As they worked together, Axel's crush on Ragely began to blossom. He couldn't help but admire Ragely's intelligence and strength. Ragely, however, remained aloof, his cold exterior hiding a deep vulnerability.

Despite their differences, they began to cross paths more often. Axel would often try to engage Ragely in conversation, but Ragely would brush him off, leaving Axel feeling rejected.

Little did they know, their lives would soon become intertwined in ways they never imagined

One fateful day, their teacher assigned a group project, and Axel's fate was sealed. He was paired with none other than Ragely himself. Axel's heart raced as they began to work together, their differences in personality and approach to the project leading to heated debates.

Despite their initial clashes, they began to see beyond their surface-level differences. Axel discovered Ragely's hidden passion for poetry, while Ragely found himself drawn to Axel's infectious enthusiasm. For the first time, they saw each other in a different light.

As they worked together, their mutual respect and understanding grew. Axel's crush blossomed into something more, and Ragely found himself feeling drawn to the happy mountain lion in ways he never thought possible.

Their project became a success, and as they presented it to the class, Axel's heart pounded with excitement. Ragely's eyes met his, and for a moment, they just stared at each other, the tension between them palpable.

And that's when it happened – Ragely's cold exterior began to thaw, and he smiled at Axel, a small, gentle smile that spoke volumes.

The bell rang, signaling the end of class, and as they packed up their things, Axel mustered up the courage to ask Ragely, "Hey, want to grab some lunch together?"

Ragely's eyes locked onto his, and he nodded, his voice low and husky, "I'd like that"

And with that, their unlikely friendship began, paving the way for a bond that would last a lifetime.
