aurora was sat in the back of her classroom like she usually would be. the classroom had filled with noises of people talking, videos from peoples phone, sounds from peoples computer. aurora had one airpod in her ear to block out some of the noise.

she was wearing a pretty simple outfit she wore black fabric shorts and a frank ocean tee shirt. she had put her hair and a slick back ponytail as she didn't feel like doing anything complex.

the teacher had finally stood up starting the class. she had half listened to the lecture while also humming to the lyrics of the music playing in her ear. aurora had paused her song when the teacher began talking about a class project. it was the baby project that the school made us do.

she had handed out papers with the requirements on it. the project was going to take a whole quarter and you needed a partner. you had to take the baby out together at least four times and you had to take turns taking care of it. aurora was honestly considering failing.

she had talked about how they were going to be graded and all of the requirements they needed to meet. "im going to be assigning partners so you guys don't need to pick anyone" all of the students groaned but it didn't make much of a difference to aurora.

she started pairing people up and she finally got to the back where aurora was sitting. "aurora for this project you and jalil will be working together" aurora had looked to where she pointed at and she saw who she was talking about.he had waved at her making himself known. she hesitantly waved back looking at the boy who was seated next to his friends and girls that he clearly didn't know.

aurora didn't know much about him but she knew he was very popular. a lot of girls were basically head over heels for him. people would follow him around the school and would literally fein over him. he was never alone he was always with one of his friends. she had seen how he was always making jokes with his friends and laughing. one thing aurora couldn't deny about him was that he was very attractive.

jalil knew of aurora but he didn't know her. he would always hear things about her like people calling her 'rude' but he didn't believe them. a lot of the people who said those things never actually had a real conversation with her. he noticed she didn't talk to anyone or bother people she always minded her own buisness. so why people had such a bad image of her was beyond him. but jalil wanted to get to know her.

jalil was always drawn to the girls reserved personality. he always wanted to get to know more about her. like why she was quiet, why she's always listening to music, the way that she carries herself. he wanted to know why she was the way she was. and jalil saw this as the perfect time.

after the teacher assigned everyone's partners she had told everyone they could move next to their partner. after she said that she saw jalil grab his stuff and walk to the desk near her. she had took out her airpods and mentally prepared herself for the next quarter. aurora was really awkward when she had to talk to new people but she was just gonna have to suck it up this one time.

they had both exchanged waves with each other as he sat down. "what's your name again?" he asked the girl. he knew her name he just wanted to hear her voice for the first time. "aurora" she answered with a soft tone so only he could hear her.

they had both talked about how they were going to take turns taking care of the baby and that they would switch with each other everyday. they had planned out basically everything even though jalil had did most of the talking.

it was the last period and the bell had just rung. she had packed up her stuff and walked out the door. she now had to carry the baby carrier with her. she agreed to take care of the baby today so she was stuck with it for the rest of the night.

the walk had felt extra long with the weight on her arms. she has complained to herself the whole way home knowing she had to do this every other day. after a while she finally reached her house and she saw her brother in the kitchen.

she walked in and placed the baby carrier on the island. she sat in a chair and let out an aggravated groan. "hello to you too. what has you so pissed off today" he asked as he was putting something in the air fryer.

her brother turned around and saw her pointing at the baby. "holy shit when did you get a kid" he had walked over to where she sat the carrier. he looked inside the carrier to see the robotic baby. "looks just like you" he joked making aurora roll her eyes.

"i can't even play fortnite today cause i have to take care of that thing." she complained as she scrolled on her phone. she normally would play fortnite or gta when she was home from school but this baby was going to make 10x harder.

"aren't you supposed to have a partner?" her brother wondered which made her nod her head. aurora looked in the pantry to find something to eat but nothing had really caught her eye. "bryson can you take me to the store?"

"you can drive" he reminded her making her roll her eyes. "are you gonna watch that thing" she stated referring to the baby who was still on the counter. he had got up from where he was sitting and grabbed his keys.

the two walked out the door with the carrier in auroras hands. she put the baby in the back seat before she got in. she put on her seatbelt before her brother left the drive way. her brother had played music on the speakers but she didn't pay attention to it. they both had two different music taste so they never were on the same page for music.

they had drove to a kroger and the girl just planned on getting a bunch of snacks. she walked down the chip aisle and picked out a bag of red takis. she always preferred the red takis over the blue ones but she loved both nonetheless.

she had walked around looking for a drink. she had seen a root beer but it was on the top shelf. "oh my gosh" she whispered in frustration as she knew she couldn't reach it. she couldn't put the baby carrier down because everytime she did it would start crying. if she tried to jump and get it the baby would still cry. so she would either have to deal with a fake crying baby or no root beer.

she had made the easy decision and put the baby down and tried to jump and get it. she had kept trying but she still couldn't get it. so she was now leaving with a crying baby and no root beer. she had picked up the carrier walking away from the aisle disappointed she didn't have anything to drink. but before she could walk away someone tapped her shoulder. she turned around and she had seen jalil standing in front of her. she had flinched as she didn't expect to see him especially not now.

he had grabbed a case of root beer for her and held it out for her to grab. "holy shit how long have you been standing there" she breathed out hoping he didn't see her jumping to get the drink and failing miserably.

"long enough to know you can't reach the top shelf" she laughed at his statement before taking the case of soda out of his hands. she wasn't surprised he could reach it because he was a whole foot taller than her. "thank you" she spoke picking up the baby carrier.

he had nodded his head before going into a different direction. she was surprised to run into him like that. she walked to the front of the store and she saw her brother by check out. "finally it took you long enough." her brother teased making her roll her eyes.

after they left the store she sat her baby in the back but as soon as she did it started crying. "what do you want" she semi yelled trying to figure out what it needed. "sit back there with it rory i want to go home" her brother told her. she had got in the back of the car and took the baby out of the carrier.

she had checked everything but the baby still wouldn't stop crying. "please shut the fuck upp" she whined as she bounced it up and down. after a while it had finally stopped crying and she placed in back in the carrier.

they got to her house and she walked to her room. it was late so she assumed the baby went to bed. she kept it in the carrier so it was just gonna sleep in there.

the girl did her night routine before putting on pajamas and going to bed.
