it was a early thursday morning and aurora was getting ready to leave to go to the airport. after a long long night of convincing her dad he decided to let her go to oklahoma with jalil. she was in her living room waiting for jalil to come pick her up.

she had a oversized t shirt on with fabric shorts. she had her hair out because she washed her hair not long ago. she went into her kitchen to look for something to eat. she went to the fridge and saw her dad left a note on the fridge. she grabbed the sticky note reading what it said.

have fun in okc rors. sorry i couldn't tell you goodbye i had to leave for work early today but be safe on your trip. please text me before you get on the plane and when you land and if you need me ill always be a text away. have fun just not to much i don't think im ready to be a grandpa yet. i love you rors! - dad

she laughed at some of his sentences a smile resting on her face. she had put the note in the back of her phone case just incase. she had put honey nut cheerios in a bowl eating them dry. as she was eating them her brother came downstairs. "what are you doing up?" she questioned as it was really early in the morning, even for aurora. "came to say bye" he admitted groggily which made it obvious he had just woke up.

she smiled at her brothers consideration before he came over and sat next to aurora. "can't believe you get to go to a rwe tournament before me shits crazy" aurora laughed at his comment making her brother laugh too. "i get shit done boy" she responded making her brother roll his eyes.

"be safe rory and if you need anything text me for real. love you lil girl" he stated bringing his little sister into a hug which she returned. "i love you too" she told him before she heard knocking on the door assuming it was jalil. "alright bye mrs girl please don't make me a uncle this weekend" he joked making aurora push him jokingly.

she got her stuff before going to the door. she had seen a very tired looking jalil standing in front of her. he gave her a hug which she returned. jalil had took her bags to the trunk of his car where his were too. they had silently sat in each other presence enjoying being around each other. aurora had connected to the bluetooth playing music in the car.

this was auroras first time going somewhere out of state without her dad or her brother being there. she wasn't even with anyone she was related to which was new to her. she trusted jalil it was just a new feel for her if she was being honest. she would never admit that she felt nervous to travel without her family being there.

aurora was turning seventeen this year and this was her first time traveling without family. it was embarrassing, to her at least. "you ready for oklahomaaa" he asked looking over to the girl in the passenger seat. his calm tone had eased some of her nerves about leaving her family. "duhh" she responded jokingly making jalil smile. "are you ready?"

"the better question is oklahoma ready for me" he said putting emphasis on the word 'me' making aurora laugh. they continued to talk for the rest of the ride until they got to the airport. when they did jalil parked his car and they made their way through check in and security.

when they made it to the gate they sat their stuff down before walking around in different stores. the airport had a mini arcade which they went to. jalil had paid to get them both game cards for an hour. he gave her a card and they went to go look for a game.

"come here" jalil had took her hand leading her to a basketball game. she had rolled her eyes when she understood what he was implying. she swiped her card on the game making a smile spark onto the boys face before he also swiped his card. they started playing and jalil started off with a big gap between the two.
