aurora had woke up to the sun shining into her room. she had rubbed her eyes trying to adjust to the light. she had seen her curtains open which wasn't like that last night. somebody had to open it but no one was in her room. the girl was confused but she didn't care enough to figure out who did it.

she had got up from the bed and went to the bathroom to do her morning routine. she brushed her teeth, washed her face, and just kept her hair in a bonnet not wanting to do it. aurora was going downstairs to go get her phone from the kitchen. they had put it in a drawer  thinking aurora wouldn't find it, but she saw them put it there before she went to bed.

she was walking back to her room before she saw something from the corner of her eye. she looked back and saw blaze in the bathroom attempting to get himself ready for something. aurora had walked back to the bathroom to see what the younger boy was doing. "blaze what are you doing it's like nine in the morning" she questioned curious to why a five year old would be up this early on a weekend.

"my mommy takes me to daycare on the weekends so i have to get ready." he informed the girl making her nod her head understanding. why wouldn't they let him stay home on weekends if he's probably not home on weekdays too due to him starting school. "do you know why she takes you to daycare?" aurora asked trying to see if he knew anything. "she says her and dad are busy working so they can't stay home" he told her making aurora feel slightly bad for him.

she felt bad because the boy probably spent most of his time with other people rather than his actual parents. but what really stuck out to aurora was the fact that aurora had to be here on weekends because of her mom and the woman wouldn't even be here. wasn't the whole point of her getting custody again was so she could at least try and spend time with the girl again?

aurora had shook it off and stepped in the bathroom so she could help the boy get ready. she had helped him brush his teeth, floss, mouthwash all of it. she had noticed a loose tooth in his mouth during all of this which was normal considering his age. "your tooth is gonna come out really soon. maybe the tooth fairy will leave you some money" aurora spoke laughing at the boy who smiled widely into the mirror.

"what's the tooth fairy?" he asked looking confused. "when your teeth fall out you leave it under your pillow so the tooth fairy can take it. and in return she'll leave you some money" aurora answered making blazes smile reappear with a small twinkle in his eye.

she had moved to his hair and she could tell nobody helped him take care of it. she had went to her bathroom to get some of the stuff she uses for her hair in hopes it'll help blaze with his. she came back and she sprayed water on his hair putting her hand on his forehead so the water wouldnt drip onto his face. after that she had used her brush to detangle his hair which wasn't bad. she put mousse in it and his hair and it looked so much better. he had curls almost identical to auroras.

she put some vaseline on his face before he was done getting ready. they went to his room and she helped him pick out an outfit. she had gave him a few options and he picked out a simple outfit. she took him downstairs and his parents weren't down there which made aurora confused. but nonetheless she made him a bowl of cereal and placed it on the table in front of him.

when he was done eating his mom finally came downstairs. "blaze come on" her mom called out making him jump from his seat. aurora also got down walking him to the door but before they made it over there blaze gave her a hug which she returned before he walked over to his mom. they walked out the door and aurora could feel a faint smile on her face.

she walked up the stairs to her room thinking she was home alone but she saw her step dad walking in the hallway. "aren't you supposed to be at work?" aurora asked considering the fact that that's why they send blaze to daycare. "no? who told you that" he shot back sounding confused. "blaze, isn't that why you guys send him to daycare?" aurora instigated trying to figure out what was going on. "oh we just tell him that we actually send him there because we need our alone time as parents you know?" her step dad explained to her, and no aurora didn't know.
