Chapter 4 (pt 2) : Brotherhood

'I'm here; do not worry' Obito appears from the back room with a small smile on his face.

Mikoto and Sasuke immediately rushed and gave him a light hug, not wanting to hurt him accidentally by coming into contact with one of his injured parts.

'What happened, Obito? Are they alright?' The Hokage asks, pointing to the boys lying on the bed, clearly overwhelmed with worry.

'Hokage-sama, I cannot say they're alright, but they are sure alive. We did managed to defeat Danzo after all.' Obito looks over to the two children and then back to Fugaku and Jiraiya, not sure whether to continue or not.

With the two men's approval in the form of nods, Obito continued.

'It seems Danzo had eyes. No. Not just eyes but Sharingan's on his arms under the bandages. We weren't expecting it, so we were naturally taken off-guard. After a very intense fight, we managed to kill him as well as retrieve the nine sharingans from Danzo's arms. The only losses were the injuries suffered by us and Kakashi.. he lost one of his eyes.' Obito concluded with a sigh.

The Hokage glances at Kakashi, saddened by the fact that he lost his eye, then looks at Obito with pride shining in his eyes 'You three did very well. You've all done a great favor to Konoha.'

'Any idea when these two will wake up?' Jiraiya asks, looking over to the boys. Guilt fills his heart, as he was the one supposed to finish this mission.

'No idea. Although Kakashi will take a bit longer, I suppose.' Obito answers truthfully.

Fugaku seemed to notice Jiraiya's guilty posture: 'It's not your fault, Jiraiya. You weren't available in the village at that time' causing Jiraiya to flash him a thankful smile.

'Ahh, my head hurts' They all turned their heads to the voice coming from one of the beds.

'Itachi, glad to see you well' Fugaku exclaims, as again the Uchiha couple and Sasuke move forward to embrace him.

'Are Kakashi and Obito alright?' Itachi asks immediately while sitting up to get a better view of the room, completely forgetting about his own injuries. 'Ahh' pain made him settle down again.

'Pleased to see you worrying about us, I am alright. I can't say the same about Kakashi' Obito says, half-kidding.

Itachi nods in reply.

'Naruto? You aren't going to give us a hug?' Itachi calls out, noticing the blonde hasn't spoken during this entire encounter.

Naruto, who seemed to be zoning out, gets startled. 'Oh yeah, sorry' He says as he embraces first Itachi, then Obito.

Obito, who is worried about the boy, throws a look towards Mikoto, which she returns, indicating she's just as worried.

'When will you all get discharged?' Sasuke asks, breaking the silence.

'Obito can get discharged as soon as we check his vitals, whereas Itachi has to stay until his wounds heal, and Kakashi will stay until he gains consciousness.' Jiraiya, who was just talking to the nurse, replied.

'I'll stay with the boys. You and the kids can go' Fugaku says to Mikoto, who seems reluctant at first but at last agrees.

Sasuke's POV

Three days have passed since Nii-san's returned from their mission. Itachi Nii-san and Obito Nii-san are back, as they have recovered enough to spend the rest of their recovery in the comfort of their home. Kakashi Nii-san still hasn't gained consciousness, though the doctors say he will wake up soon.
