It's official. Elsie wants to move to Los Angeles this June. She has a month to sort everything out, including securing a visa and ensuring she has a home there. A new luxury apartment complex is under construction in Santa Monica, conveniently close to where her brother Armani lives. Elsie has already claimed one of these homes, still in the making.

Her job at Britbuzz covers her housing and furnishings, in addition to her usual monthly salary. She's still working for them remotely, which makes the transition easier.

Elsie has already packed most of her belongings. With her box braids styled in a low bun, she carries a box to the living room. She stacks her boxes, labeling each one with a black marker. Reggaeton music plays in the background, keeping her energized. She sings along in Spanish, her hips swaying to the rhythm, making the packed room feel lively.

A knock on the door interrupts her dance. Elsie lowers the volume and rushes to the door, peeking through the peephole. A delivery person stands there, holding a vase overflowing with flowers. Puzzled, Elsie opens the door.

"Good afternoon, this is for you!" He says, handing her the vase. Elsie thanks him and shuts the door.

"What the heck," She mumbles, placing the vase on a table. She gazes in wonder at the bouquet, a vibrant mix of blue delphiniums, white and pink waxflowers, orange roses, and bright pink gerbera daisies. A smile spreads across her face as she admires her favorite flowers, beautifully arranged. She wonders who sent them.

Searching for a note, she finds nothing. "Oh no," Elsie mutters, rushing to her window. She sees the delivery person heading towards his van and flings the window open. "Hey, sir!" She calls out. He stops and looks around. "Behind you! Up here!" Elsie shouts. He finally spots her.

"Wasn't there a letter with the bouquet?" She asks. He rummages in his bag and pulls out an envelope with Elsie's name on it.

"Elsie Singh?" He reads. Elsie rolls her eyes.
