July 7, 2023
The sun hung high in the sky, casting a golden glow over Los Angeles. It was one of those perfect California days, with a soft breeze whispering through the palm trees and the air just warm enough to feel comforting without being overwhelming. The sky was a brilliant blue, with only a few clouds lazily drifting by, painting an almost postcard-perfect backdrop to the city.
Inside Billie's sprawling home, the girls were settled in, completely at ease. The large windows of the living room let the sunlight pour in, illuminating the space with a soft, golden light. Billie's house had an open, airy feel, with high ceilings and modern décor that was stylish yet comfortable. The sectional couch they sat on was plush and inviting, scattered with a few cozy blankets, as if inviting them to sink in and relax.
Billie, Elsie, Claudia, and Lily had gathered early, taking in the view from Billie's living room, which stretched out over the city below. The warmth of the day outside seemed to match the mood inside—calm, easygoing, and full of anticipation for the podcast they were about to record.
Elsie and Billie sat close together on the sectional, their microphones already in place, while Claudia and Lily were seated comfortably in two stylish armchairs across from them. The high ceilings gave the room an open, airy feel, and the soft hum of the air conditioning was the only sound as the podcast setup came together. The cameras were positioned around the room, ready to capture the conversation from multiple angles, adding an extra dynamic to what was usually a more intimate setup in Elsie's smaller recording space.
"Welcome back to Think Like Elsie, the podcast where we dive into everything from news to nonsense and, of course, what's rattling around in my brain today. And yes, if you're watching the video version, you can see we've got cameras rolling from every possible angle. So try to catch our good sides—well, mostly mine." Elsie joked touching her curls. Billie glanced at her and smiled big while Claudia and Lily laughed.
