As I lay there with my brother passed out on the floor. The nurses run to me with a bed. They put Luke on the bed while one nurse pulls me away. I scream
"Let me go!"
I shed tears for my brother one of the nurses says
"we have to go now "
I watch as the nurses rush off with my brother to take him to surgery I feel the nurse holding me the nurse says
"Can I call someone for you ?"
I mumble Sage. I pull my phone out of my pocket Trembling as I hand my phone to the nurse. The nurse looks for Sage's number in my phone then calls him. After thirty minutes of explaining to Sage. The nurse ends the call. The nurse says
" He is on his way,"
The nurse hands my phone back to me then holds me.
Two hours later the doctor walks to me he says
"The surgery went well your mother is resting in recovery you can see her soon. "
I listen to the doctor but can't comprehend his words the nurse says
"Did you hear that sweetie she will be fine. "
I suddenly start to comprehend what the doctor and nurse is saying to me I shake my head and look at the nurse I say
"Can you please repeat that ?"
The nurse repeats what she said. I take a deep breath. I was happy knowing my mother was okay. I whisper how's my brother? All the sudden I feel arms around me from behind. I look up and I see Sage. Sage helps me up from the floor. I shed tears in Sage's arms. The doctor says
" Your brother is still in critical condition he is still in surgery."
The doctor walks back fast. I start sobbing hard into Sage's arms I think to myself I can't lose him I need him we have been through so much please Luke fight please don't die on me. Sage kisses my head he holds me close Sage says
"Baby he will be okay he is a fighter he will be okay."
Sage carries Me to the waiting room. He places me on a chair and he walks to the cabinet where tea and coffee is. Sage makes Me a cup of tea he walks to me, hands me the cup I shake as I hold the cup Sage sits near me and holds me. I drink the tea slowly I look around the room I look at Sage I whisper thank you. After a few hours Sage and I hear footsteps running fast. A few rooms over Sage and I hear the doctors saying
"we are losing him we need a crash cart now he is losing too much blood "
The doctor works on Luke for over twenty minutes then says
"He is flat lining "
I hear the doctor's thoughts and I scream loud.
