Valentina
"Stop running around like a headless chicken." Brooke mumbles with a mouth full of brownie.
"I'm not running around like a headless chicken." My eyes stray to hers in a glare. "I'm in a rush." I run my hands down my white double breasted, blazer mini dress and grab my matching heels. "And stop eating those," I pull the box of brownies Theo had bought me a few nights ago away from my best friend, "they're mine."
"Where are you off to again?" She reaches for my box of brownies and pouts, "and sharing is caring so hand them over."
"I have a showing in like twenty minutes." I blow away hair that covers my face and put on some silver mini hoop earrings. My rather difficult client has his showing today.
Brook makes an 'ah' sound and hands me my silver bracelets, "the one who wants the twenty three million dollar house?"
"That'd be the one." I mutter, collecting my purse and stack of papers.
Brooke suddenly grins, "what's your commission on this one?"
I try my best to hide my grin. Six percent is my commission for this sale but since I'm splitting with the owners realtor it's being split in half. If Ryan decides to purchase, from this sale alone I'll make a little over half a million. "Six percent."
Brooke is suddenly dropping the brownies, her mouth agape. "You're shitting me."
"Am not." I rub my lips together after applying some gloss and turn to her, "now, those brownies better be here when I get back. Lock my doors if you leave, please."
"Bye bye!" She shouts as I close my front door.
I fish my keys out of my purse, unlock my Range Rover and quickly turn on my heat since the weather took a turn for the worst today.
My body grew custom to the high forties this month but for some reason the weather decided to drop to twenty degrees. And I still thought it a good idea to wear a dress.
With five minuets to spare I arrive at the large mansion and see Ryan already there leaning against his expensive looking car.
I gather my things and meet him in the middle of the driveway by the water fountain.
"Valentina!" He grins, clasping both his hands together. "Aren't you cold?" I ignore the way his eyes run down my body, lingering at my bare legs.
"I'm perfectly fine." I clear my throat and avert my eyes to the owner coming to meet us by the fountain.
"That you are." He mumbles quiet making me turn to him.
I raise a brow, watching his face drop. "Excuse me?"
"I- uhm," switching his gaze to the large house before us he clears his throat, "isn't she a beauty?"
"Valentina." Crystal, the owner of this house greets me with a sweet smile. Crystal and I have been familiarizing ourselves for the last week.
This house has been in her family for generations. Each time it was passed down to the eldest child and each time it was filled with a large family. A wife, a husband, and children running around.
But Crystal and her husband were only blessed with one child and they wish to move out instead of always being reminded of the space they have that could've been filled with many many children.
None of her siblings wanted the house and they thought it was best to put the money away that comes from selling into their child's future for college or whatever they wish to do with it in the future.
