"Mr Miller." I try my best repressing my irratated sigh. Ryan Miller, son of Daniel Miller currently sits before me with a smug smirk on his face. "Selling the land to Castano Air corp would be beneficial for the both of us."

Miller Wind's ceo is out on medical leave leaving his less than smart son as interim ceo.

"You see," he shakes his head, clasping both hands on his desk. "I don't see how selling our wind farm to your company can possibly benefit us. Nothing personal, of course."

"Of course." I grit out. In the process of Castano Air going one hundred percent green the wind farm was an important step. Not to mention this can make both of the companies millions if not billions of dollars. "I'm not sure you understand. Your windmills are inactive, Castano Air has the recourses to get them started and producing energy ready for customer consumption in the next month."

Ryan spares me an uninterested look focusing his attention on the empty documents before him. He licks his thumb and forefinger to flip his page, "I don't see how that benefits Miller Wind." His words sound just as uninterested as he looks.

"Five hundred and twenty thousand dollars will be made per windmill. According to the contract, Castano Air is willing to give Miller wind twenty five percent. Do the math."

I watch as the gears turn in his head, little by little the realty of what he was trying to turn down sinks in. "Millions per month." Her mutters, "Billions per couple of months." Castano air would be making more due to having the bigger percentage but when you win some you lose some. Miller Wind is losing billions but selling is getting them millions. "I can bring it up at the next board meeting. I'm only interim ceo the proposal might not be taken seriously."

He's only been in the game for a year. He doesn't understand that the board will vote his way the second they hear the word billions. His father would have saved us both the trouble by now and have this meeting over. "Well then," I stand from my seat and straighten out my suit, "we'll be in touch." I offer him a polite handshake before taking my leave.

Ryan might not see it but he's slowly been driving Miller Wind into the ground. The short months he's been acting as ceo many of their investors have pulled out their investments leaving the company with a large financial gap. Selling the land that the wind farm is on is the only thing that'll dig them out of the hole he's dug for them.

There's even rumor that his board is planning to over turn him. That might not be the smartest way of going about it since when his father returns it'll be difficult for him to reacquire his ceo position but it might be the only way of saving that company from crumbling beneath Ryan.

"How'd it go?" Brian asks stuffing carrots into his mouth. "Will he propose the idea to the board?"

"He will." I slump down on the couch beside him and pull out my company tablet to check the status report on our energy renewal project. "It's only a matter if they'll listen to him. They'll know the deal is too good to pass down but Ryan isn't doing himself any favors there."

Brain nods, "he'll be lucky if his father returns from medical leave in the next week. If not..." Brian swipe a finger across his neck, pretending to slit it, "that company is doomed."

"Mr Castano?" Allison, my assistant pops her head into the room clutching a tablet to her chest.

"Yes Allison?" I look up from the report seeing her press her fingers to the black bud in her ear.

She nods her head and drops her hand from her ear. "Mr and Mrs Castano want to see you."

"Tell them I'll be right up." She nods and quickly leaves the room. "You've got to be kidding me." I groan dropping my head. They haven't given me shit since what happened with Clarissa, I knew it'd happen sooner or later.
