Valentina
Since the weather is limiting my outfit options I've settled for a pair of high waisted beige wide legged pants with a white long sleeve tucked in.
Theo just texted me the address of his workplace and told me to ask for his assistant Allison at the front desk who'll escort me to his office.
My cheeks go pink when I remember this morning. I try to ignore it and fix the clip in my hair before I leave but every imagine is popping in my head making my belly warm.
My phone buzzes in my hand calling my attention.
Theo: I have a surprise for when you get here.
Oh? What kind?
Theo: mind out of the gutter amor.
I laugh and stuff my phone away before making my way out of my house. The march weather has been getting better than late February weather but still when a breeze passes by I rush to my car feeling a chil roll down my spine.
I turn on my car and blast my heater before making my way over to Theo's workplace.
Castano Air Corporation is written in big letters across the front of a tall black glass building.
I grab my purse and keys before going inside and thank the lord it's actually warm in here. I walk up to the large reception desk and tap my fingers against the black marble as I wait for the lady to turn around.
"Oh!" She laughs nervously when she sees me waiting. "I'm sorry. I didn't keep you waiting long did I?"
"No you're fine." I smile, "Um, is there any chance you can send Allison down?"
She squints in confusion before brightening. "Mr Castano's assistant?"
"Yes please."
She nods and grabs the phone by her computer within a few minutes a beautiful girl around my age walks towards me. Her brown hair is pinned back with a few small white clips that match her pantsuit.
She sets down a small potted plant and a pink candle before greeting me. "Valentina?" I nod making her smile in relief, "Mr Castano's office is on the tenth floor, come on."
She picks up her potted plant and candle before leading me to Theo's office. She balances the items in one hand as she knocks on the door. When the door flies open I expect Theo but instead I'm face to face with a grinning Brian.
"Valentina darling!" He pulls me in a hug startling Allison at how fast he lunged at me.
"Hi Brian." I chuckle patting his back. When he pulls away his gaze flickers over to Allison and the items in her arms. "Is Ms Castano really still redecorating her office?"
"Yes," she chuckles nervously, "so if you'll excuse me I need to get back." She rushes down the hall making my brows pull in.
"She's been redecorating over and over again for the last few months." Brian sighs shaking his head, "anyway come in! Theo went to go drop off a few papers at his parents office but I'll keep you great company."
Brian ushers me in and grabs me a glass of lemon water while mumbling, "Water for the lady. And water for me." As he pours himself a glass."Say Valentina?"
"Hm?" I hum taking a sip of my water.
"I was thinking." He grins and takes a seat across from me. He leans in a bit, "Brooke's been really stressed with work and her new boss," -Brooke's boss stepped down due to personal reasons and handed over the company to his brother- "and I want to do something for her."
