Theo
I sneak a side glance at Valentina. Her legs are crossed over one another as she stares out the window gazing at all the city lights. Her eyes shine with the reflections adding a spark of happiness to her face. Her lips are covered in red, she had to redo them since I had messed them up. And her hair was tamed by her fingers and extra hairspray after I had disheveled it.
After I had her coming on my fingers I made sure to help her fix her dress and clean up. We put her flowers — that she thanked me for with a bunch of kisses and beautiful smiles — in a vase before leaving.
I flex my fingers against the steering wheel finding it hard to focus on the road when a woman as beautiful as Valentina is right next to me.
I shouldn't be nervous for her going over to my place. She's seen it before, she's the one who picked it out for fucks sake. But maybe that's why I'm nervous. She liked it so much then but will she still like it now that I've filled it with my personal things?
"Eyes on the road Theo." Her soft voice has my eyes snapping to hers. She eyes me with a soft smile before placing a hand on my thigh.
Despite her touching me to comfort me, her touch doubles my anxious nerves. Her thumb runs back and forth against my leg. I let out a nervous chuckle and place my hand over hers before moving my eyes back to the road.
The closer we get to my place the more nervous I grow. Will she like what I've set out for her? God I hope she does.
For the rest of the drive I manage to keep my eyes on the road even with her hand on my thigh. I grab her bag and open her door keeping my hands on her one way or another to try and calm myself as we make our way up.
"Theo." Valentina stops me before I get to unlock my door with her palms against my chest. She angles her head up and presses a soft kiss to my lips making me melt against her. "You alright?"
"Never better." I smile pressing a soft kiss on her lips. When I push open my door and flicker on the lights I watch her as her eyes drift to the kitchen island.
She slowly walks up to the counter, her eyes go over everything laid out before she spins on her heels and walks back over to me. "Theo." She whispers, "you didn't have to." Her eyes get a little watery, if it wasn't for her full on smile I would've panicked.
"It's your birthday." I murmur grabbing her elbows to pull her closer. "I wanted to make it special." Especially since it's the first birthday out of many I want to celebrate with her.
Her hands go up and around my neck. "Thank you." She whispers before bringing her lips up to mine.
The kitchen island has two lit vanilla scented candles with bouquet of flower laying next to them. Despite me already giving her one I wanted to have another for her over here. I also got her a dozen pack of those brownies she quickly grew obsessed with and I got her a small birthday cake, one enough for the both of us with two small golden candles. The numbers two and nine. Then to the side there's a slim box wrapped in golden wrapping paper topped with a white bow, the string of her birthday balloon is wrapped around it so it wouldn't float to the ceiling.
She laughs against my lips when I push myself against her to kiss her deeper. "Seriously, thank you so much Theo." She looks up at me with eyes full of sincerity making me melt in her embrace.
"It's nothing you don't deserve." I assure her, "You deserve everything and I want to be the one to give it to you, if you let me."
Her lips part and her chest rises and falls faster against mine. Her smile turns smaller and shyer, "what are you saying?"
