Theo
Instead of heading home after our date, Valentina and I decided to walk around the park. Our hands are intertwined and Valentina swings them as we continue our walk.
"Hm, okay, what about your birthday?" She asks, continuing our mini game of something like twenty questions.
"August twenty-ninth, yours?"
"March eighth. I'm turning twenty nine." She grimaces and shakes her head.
"Scared of thirty?" I laugh, she nods and mumbles, "I'm scared of gray hairs."
I can't help but laugh again, "do I have gray hairs?"
She looks up at my head and squints. "Can't say that you do, but it's also dark so maybe I should check again at another time."
"Well, I don't." I give her a playful glare, "and I'm thirty two."
She rears back, her eyes go up and down my body. "Well you're aging beautifully."
"Yes," I pull her hand to get her closer again. "And you'll age perfectly."
"Hm." She laughs. She lets go of my hand making me scowl. But then she puts it around her waist and leans into me. Having her warm body plastered against mine feels unbelievably good.
She looks up and sends me a shy smile. "I got cold."
"You're cold?" I subconsciously tighten my arm around her getting her closer. "Want to head back?"
She shakes her head. "I want to keep walking, the lights are nice." Her eyes follow along the lights in awe. "Do you have any siblings?"
I shake my head, "None. Just me, I have a few cousins that I was raised closely with." I note the way her breathing changes when my thumb moves in circles over her dress.
For the rest of our walk our topics range from my family to hers, her job to mine, and random topics like music and hobbies.
Now Valentina is leaning against the hood of my car and the light from the light post is hitting her face in the most beautiful way.
"I had a wonderful time." She smiles up at me with her fingers playing with the hem of my shirt. "Thank you Theo."
My hand lands on her elbow as I stand a little closer to her. "You're welcome, Valentina." Despite myself, my eyes fall to her lips. I tried my best not to think about it at dinner but kissing Valentina is something that I can no longer wait to do. "I also had a great time, we need to do it again."
The dark look the clouds her eyes as she looks at my lips changes into something lighter, "Are you asking me out, again?"
"Yes, will you let me take you out again?" My thumb caresses her elbow and I pull her slightly closer watching the look on her face change again.
She nod, her lips part letting out small gushes of air, "Yes. Yes you can Theo." Her fingers pull on my shirt, so I take another step closer.
I find myself between her legs as she leans further back. "Theo?" She says softly looking at me with dark eyes.
"Hm?" My hand lands on her jaw, I angle it up higher. "Yes Valentina?"
Her eyes are trained on my lips. Her tongue darts out and coats her lower lip before she looks up at me with a question burning in her eyes.
My thumb brushes over her cheek feeling the softness of her skin. We both lean in, feeling our lips brush against each other.
Her eyes fall shut and her lips release a shaky breath. "Theo, will you kiss me?" She whispers.
Fuck. Using my hand on her jaw I pull her closer till our lips are on each other.
The softness of her lips has me groaning and using my tongue to part them. I push my tongue into her mouth, bringing my other hand to the other side of her face to pull her in more.
Valentina moans when I take her tongue with mine, sucking on it. Her fingers slightly skim my abdomen under my shirt.
I groan keeping my hands gentle on her face. I take her bottom lip, sucking on it hard making her cry out. I bite her lip and use my tongue to soothe the sting before pulling away.
She looks up at me, her eyes glazed over and her lips swollen and red. I run my thumb across her lip and smile down at her.
"How soon can I take you out again?" I murmur, keeping my hands on her face feeling her soft skin.
"As soon as you want."
I grin and drop a kiss on her forehead. "I'll text you, okay? We'll decide when."
She nods and takes my hand as we walk up her steps. She grabs her keys from her purse and unlocks her door.
She steps into her house and sends me another pretty smile. "Goodnight Theo."
"Goodnight Valentina."

"Why are you staring at the wall Brian?"
"What?" He mumbles looking away from the gray wall. "I'm not."
I raise a brow making him sigh. "Leave me be Theo. I'm waiting for a text." On cue his phone pings and lights up. He lunges for it and grins. "It's Brooke."
"I've gathered." I deadpan. Brian beams and his phone and fucking giggles.
"If you'll excuse me," he turns to me smiling, "I'm taking my lunch break now."
"We just clocked in." I tell him, but it's no use he's already down the hall.
I slump back into my seat brining my corporate tablet with me. Miller Wind's board is voting today and I just need it to be over already so we can sign all the documents and start with the thumper trucks.
I also need this deal to go through before Ryan crashes and burns the company down.
And email comes through and displays on my screen making me frown. "Allison?" I call out, she shuffles into my office holding a potted plant and a coffee.
"Yes?" She says heaving.
I pause, wondering what's got her heaving and bearing a potted plant.
"Uh... your mother. She has me running around." She smiles sheepishly.
"Right. Well," I clear my throat showing her my calendar that was emailed to me. "Why am I scheduled to have a meeting with David Miller?"
"David Miller..? Oh! Yes the ceo of Miller Wind. He requested to have a meeting with you as soon as possible but I couldn't squeeze him in till the end of the month."
"Did he say why?" It's couldn't possibly be regarding our current deal going through since that would be long done by the time of our meeting. He's also still on medical leave so it doesn't make sense as to why he'd need to meet with me.
"No. He only said it was an urgent matter."
"Right." I nod, "alright, thank you." She nods and scurries up the stairs picking up potted plants that decorate the tables on her way.
