Chapter 30: Into the endless stairs

{Hi}

Bright:"So, Y/n are you ready?"

Y/n:"I'm nervous"

Bright chuckles.

Bright:"No need to be nervous!"

Y/n:"These stairs are endless"

Bright:"That's true but you'll be fine Just make sure to come back up when stuff starts to get dangerous"

Y/n:"That's the worst part, I have to make it down completely"

Bright:"Oh! Hell yeah, Now I have a reason to stay in my office all day. Y/n, Take your time. No need to rush"

Y/n:"Damnit"

You sigh covering your face with both hands.

Bright:"You've got food and water? Cause It's a long way down"

Y/n:"Yeah and I hope I don't die"

You say holding your backpack.

Y/n:"Maybe I should do this another day"

You are about to turn around but stop yourself.

Y/:n:"What am I doing?! I've been through alot worse and I'm scared of a simple monster in a flight of stairs?!"

Bright snorts.

Bright:"I know right?! Now go in there and make me proud!"

You burst into the staircase and start descending as soon as you reach the second number, Almost all of your powers are sealed away. Fire? Not manifesting, Tentacles? Not tentacling and partial reality manipulation? Not working either.

Y/n:"Let's just see how far I can go"

You exclaim walking down the stairs.

After 10 minutes of walking down, You are now at the 16th level, You are now Almost in complete darkness but thankfully. You still have night vision and echo location which is good, Your physical abilities have also declined now only being 3x that of an average human, Weaker than when you did your first experiment.

Y/n:"There's still a long way to go"

You start to walk back down. As you walk you can't help but see dark spots on the wall, Even with night vision. They are too dark to see through, So you choose to ignore them since they don't affect you.

Y/n:"Jack? You still there?"

Bright:"Still here, Y/n. Why are you so nervous? You've been jumping at every little movement"

Y/n:"I'm used depending on my powers to deal with this stuff, Now I'm in a situation where I can't depend on them almost completely and I don't know where or when. I'll meet this thing"

"Please help me" The voice of a child calls out.

Y/n:"What the hell?"
