I smiled to myself as I knocked on the door of the Chief Prosecutor's office. Once I was allowed entry, I opened the door and entered, "Good Morning, Mr Edgeworth."

"Miss Wright? This is a pleasant surprise."

"I just came to thank you. It was thanks to you that I'm now a qualified psychiatrist!" I smiled widely, rubbing the back of my neck. However, before he had a chance to respond, I started to feel the ground under me shaking and I immediately went into panic mode, knowing of the Chief Prosecutor's fear of earthquakes. I took a deep breath and walked over to his desk, which he was now hiding under, "Shh... Nothing is going to happen. It's okay. Just concentrate on the sound of my voice."

"(Y/n), stop. It's not going to help."

"With all do respect. I am the psychiatrist here!" I retorted, "I have an idea," I paused and pulled out my phone and headphones, connecting them before handing them to him, "This helps me. Listening to music. You don't need to stay strong in front of me. I won't judge you. It's my job to help people through their problems."

"I've tried that before. Doesn't help me."

I sighed and pulled him into a hug, rubbing his back as I felt him freeze. I knew he wasn't one for physical contact, but it's what my brain thought of in the moment. I soon felt him hugging me back and I smiled, knowing he was starting to trust me and let his guard down a bit.

"Did Phoenix say anything to you about me?" I asked, trying to distract him.

"In what context?" was the response I was given and I gulped, knowing I'd have to ask him directly, "About a hypothetical crush that I may or may not have on you..." the latter half of the statement was muttered to myself, but I knew he'd managed to hear, "Yes, he did mention something, but Wright does spout nonsense a lot of the time."

"Yeah, but he wasn't on that occasion," I muttered my face turning the same colour as his suit jacket, "I've had a crush on you since.. I can't remember."

I blinked in surprise when he placed a hand on my cheek, "Mr Edgeworth, what are you-"

"(Y/n)," he started, confusing me as whenever we'd interacted previously, he'd always referred to me as 'Miss Wright' or 'Wright's sister', "May I try a new distraction technique?"

"A-Anything that will help you," I replied, stuttering a bit as I was still concentrating on the hand he had on my cheek, "Thank you," was what he replied with before kissing me. I blinked again, this time in confusion, but it didn't stop me, wrapping my arms around his neck, returning it.

"Mr Egeworth are you alright!?"

At hearing Gumshoe's voice, we broke off and stood up to see the detective standing in the doorway out of breath as if he'd run up the stairs, "Are you-"

"Gumshoe... Leave."

"Sorry sir!"

I giggled as he ran back out and turned my attention back to the Chief Prosecutor, "Are you alright, Mr Edgeworth?" I asked, noticing the ground had stopped shaking, "It's over."

"I do believe I've found a good distraction technique, (Y/n), and please, call me by my first name. It feels odd to have my girlfriend call me by a title."

"Y-you want me to be your girlfriend? Mr Miles 'Cold-hearted' Edgeworth wants a girlfriend?" I asked, a smirk hidden on my face as his turned bright red, "Um.. well, I-"

"Relax, I'm messing with you. I'd love to be your girlfriend, Miles," I replied, leaning up and kissing him...

...Then my phone rang. I sighed and broke off, pulling it from my pocket, checking the caller id and picking up, "What do you want, Phoenix? I'm busy."

"Busy doing what? You said you could look after Trucy today, you're now an hour late!"

"Well, I'm sorry Mr 'Ace Attorney', I know you don't have a case, and if you hadn't noticed, a damn earthquake just hit! I was helping someone!"

"You meant Edgeworth, right?"

"Of course I bloody do! Now stop calling me, I'll be over soon."

I hung up before he had a chance to respond and sighed, turning to Miles, "I should really get going, Phoenix is overly protective of Trucy."

"Very well."

"But remember, you can always come to me if you're in need of anything. As your girlfriend, it is my duty, Miles," I replied, leaning up and kissing him.
