----------------------

It's a beautiful night, we're looking for something dumb to do. Hey baby, I think I wanna marry you.Is it the look in your eyes or is it this dancing juice? Who cares, baby, I think I wanna marry you. Well, I know this little chapel on the boulevard we can go, no one will know, oh, come on girl.

I ratted my fingernails against the table in my dressing room as I stared into the metaphorical soul of the small velvet box sitting on the table, as I tried to psyche myself up.

"Miss (Y/n)?"

I snapped from my daze and snuck the small box back into my pocket as I turned to face the intruder, "Naomi! I thought I asked for you to knock before you came in!"

"I know you're nervous, but I just came to say you might want to get to the stage. Trucy and the others are seated where you requested. I showed them to the seats personally."

Who cares if we're trashed, got a pocket full of cash we can blow, shots of patron and it's on, girl. Don't say no, no, no, no, no, just say yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah and we'll go, go, go, go, go. If you're ready, like I'm ready 'cause it's a beautiful night, we're looking for something dumb to do. Hey baby, I think I wanna marry you. Is it the look in your eyes or is it this dancing juice? Who cares, baby, I think I wanna marry you, oh.

I nodded and thanked her, grabbing my guitar as I followed her out of my dressing room, pressing a kiss to the small locket I always carried around while on tour, the contents being a picture taken by, I had guessed, Athena, when me and Trucy had first got together. I hid it back under my dress for the concert and made my way to the side of the stage, taking a deep breath before walking onstage, "Hello, everyone! Thank you all for coming tonight! Are you ready to party!?"

I'll go get a ring, let the choir bells sing like, ooh, so what ya wanna do? Let's just run, girl. If we wake up and you wanna break up, that's cool, no, I won't blame you, it was fun, girl. Don't say no, no, no, no, no, just say yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Throughout the concert, whenever I got the chance, I patted my pocket to make sure the velvet box was still there, breathing a sigh of relief when I felt it each time.

And we'll go, go, go, go, go, if you're ready, like I'm ready 'cause it's a beautiful night, we're looking for something dumb to do, hey baby, I think I wanna marry you. Is it the look in your eyes or is it this dancing juice? Who cares, baby, I think I wanna marry you.

"Alright! Time for one more song, and if you're not aware, I always make the last song a cover, and this time it's going to be a special one... I hope," I spoke, muttering the final bit as I took a deep breath, handing the hand-held microphone to the stagehand who had come to take my guitar as well, another one walking up to make sure the mic that was attached to my face as in position and working. Once I was sure this was the case, the music started and I started singing.

Just say I do, tell me right now, baby. Tell me right now, baby, baby, Just say I do, tell me right now, baby, tell me right now, baby, baby, oh...

"It's a beautiful night, we're looking for something dumb to do, hey baby, I think I wanna marry you," I sang, nearing the end of the song. This was when my nerves started to come back, but I pushed them down as I walked to the front of the stage where Trucy and the rest of my friends were sitting. I smiled, taking her hand, "Is it the look in your eyes or is it this dancing juice?" I continued as I pulled her up onto the stage, making a mental picture of her facial expression as I did so, "Who cares, baby, I think I wanna," I started slowing down as I knelt down on one knee, pulling out the small velvet box from my pocket, and opening it, "marry you..."

Trucy's eyes widened and I noticed her taking a quick glance at her father, who only nodded, knowing of my plan, before she jumped on me, nodding excitedly, "Yes!" she squealed as I started to feel my shoulder getting wet. I smiled and she let me stand up, allowing me to place the ring on her finger.

"In other news, popstar (Y/n) has announced her engagement to magician girlfriend Trucy, after proposing live on-stage at her show last night!"

"Well, news certainly travels fast," I muttered, pecking Trucy's forehead, the two of us snuggling together on the clear sofa in the agency, watching the tv.

"Yeah but it's fine. I love you, (Y/n)."

"I love you too, Truce."
