"Then the unexpected happens learn to adapt or you might regret the course later"
Being at work that day for Samantha was overwhelming at best as she could not get the goofy smile off her face and with everyone looking at her and asking why was she this happy. Truth was ever since that party message before threatening her friend and his mates to silence and secrecy she felt that it was somehow true, somehow it felt right.
Also being in the counting house mistakes would not be made so when her bags came in Samantha counted them as per usual except one was off by a large margin as well, Samantha had no choice after recounting for the fifth time to let Mike know what the situation was, the camera's was first looked over in security to see when the money left the shop in their own trucks to when it reached the depot.
Then watched as the sealed bags was taken from the said truck and passed through two other hands, one to check the integrity of the bag and another to write both seal and batch number, before reaching the counting house itself, to where the seal was broken, the bag opened by Samantha herself and the money counted.
She watched herself in the camera check and recheck then checked the counting machine to make sure that none of the bills was swallowed.
Mike then turned to Samantha and reassured her before heading up to his wife Cassandra and Samantha went back to her work as usual while everyone pestered her in telling them why every time they asked her goofy smile would return.
Still she would tell no one until she had spoken to her sister which could only happen on a Sunday when they are both on stand-by and since it is Monday Samantha would rather wear her goofy smile while working in the counting house.
The day however with the incident, passed quickly enough to avoid anything slipping which almost had, a couple of times, waiting for a cab to pick her up Samantha put her earphones in her ears and listened to the music on her playlist today was flashback 60's the year where love and rock 'n roll ruled over the world population and also the spike in sexual activities.
She was so blinded by her surroundings trapped in her own bubble of bliss and she did not hear the person behind her approach but she left this person's hand on her shoulder, Samantha's blood ran cold as the one of her earphones slipped from her ear from being tugged by the cord which was trapped in-between this person's fingers. In a quick motion Samantha stepped back hard, stomping her work boot on the persons toes and a squelch sound was heard before she grabbed their hand then arm and leaned forward throwing the person over her shoulder, Samantha lifted her foot to stomp once again but this time on thee person's chest but froze as her face white with fright quickly changed to red with fury:
"Sipho! I could've killed you!"
Sipho Mbane, was one of their companies long time drivers being the second eldest at forty-nine with three kids, so shocked that a petite woman could not only throw a bigger man than himself over her shoulder but also drive enough force to break his toes and he was not a man known to cry or scream but here he lay on the dust cover gravel holding onto his bended knee in extreme pain.
"Samantha" hold on, I will phone Rita.
Samantha's blissful bubble popped in that moment as the dial tone rang while she removed Sipho's shoe then silently scolded him in her mind for wearing open-toed sandals with socks of all things she had indeed broken three of his toes, it was then Rita picked up her phone just as she was about to put her own down but quickly explained the situation.
Samantha felt even worse when Vicky arrived and saw Sipho laying on the floor with her standing over him, when her sister asked what happened Samantha could not help the tears run down her face as she explained what had happened, Vicky on the other hand laughed and teased Sipho as Mike came out with his rover and help place Sipho in the back and ushered Samantha into the front before driving off.
