"Nothing scares worse than losing everything you cared for, even at the cost of your own health and state of mind"
Samantha sat in her home staring at her computer unable to do anything but space out and think about what happened two days ago. The supper with Matthew went well with the exception of Vicky it was what happened that morning that she cannot get out of her head.
"Sam—"
"Sam—"
"Samantha!"
Samantha jolted out of her thoughts and looked up and instantly knew that something was wrong, Catherine was there and worry was on her face, this only happened once in her life and that was when her mother kicked her out of the house.
"Auntie, what is wrong?"
"There is someone outside. A woman and she is demanding to speak to you"
Samantha sighed, she did not need this now not after what happened things are getting complicated and it was not something she needed right now, so instead she got up and followed Catherine to the main house.
"There you are, you ungrateful child! I want to see my granddaughter right now!"
Samantha stood in the door frozen her mother Caitlyn was right there even with the restraining order she was still here and demanding to see her child, however Caitlyn was supposed to be in a mental hospital and the way she looked seems like not only she got out but the looked disheveled and angry, very, very angry.
"Mother—"
"I am not your mother! I am nothing to you where is Charmaine!" Caitlyn demanded moving to Samantha and poking her in the chest.
"Fine, Caitlyn my daughter is not here and she will not be here any time soon" Samantha said as her eyes narrowed "and since I am nothing of you my daughter is nothing of you, now leave before the police come!"
"Hah, the cops you did not know who came and secondly you do not have your phone on you!" Caitlyn said sarcastically
Samantha sighed as she looked at Catherine who nodded before turning back to her mother, "Caitlyn you escaped from a mental institution coming here and breaking the restraining order and no doubt one of their fathers is right now at their school trying to get my daughter out, you think I did not think about this?"
Samantha backed as she realized that Caitlyn was getting angrier before speaking again hearing the distant sirens blaring "also I do not need my phone or know who has come to visit me because on this I have a panic button set and pressed it as soon as I knew that it was you"
Samantha finally showed her keys the remote had four buttons one for the gate and the other an emergency button that she had the security company set in just in case and made sure that out of the colored buttons that there was the red one was made for this.
They watched as Caitlyn's face pale but the rage in her eyes was unmistaken before screaming and shooting herself forward with her arms stretched forward but Samantha stood still as Caitlyn jumped forward but before she could reach her, she was stopped and let out a shriek like a banshee.
"Are you ok, mam?"
"Yes, thank you officer" Catherine looked at Samantha who still stood frozen staring blankly, "Are the kids safe?"
Police officer "Yes mam they are safe the man has been arrested"
"How do you know?" Samantha asked, "She came here looking for my daughter, how do you know we are safe?'
Catherine looked at Samantha who was staring at her birth mother.
"You, mother!" Samantha said with venom "will go back to the but not to East London, you broke your restraining order, and I am writing a statement with the officers and their cams as proof you almost attacked me if not for them, do you know what that means?"
