"I never expect my life to take a turn as it had in the short months it had but it was my sister's push and my friend's cunningness that gave me what I needed"
Once Samantha had reached her destination, she was tired and sore, the drive finally took a toll not only on her mentally but physically as well as she got off and met her friend that was like a sister to her, the greeting was short however when Samantha eyed her sister's husband and did not really like the look of him but then again they were giving her shelter so she could not say anything.
"You finally here, Jacob take the bags, Samantha is tired" said her sister as she turned to Charls and Charmaine "Hi I am your aunt Vicky your mommy's sister"
Charmaine immediately brightened up, but Charls hid behind Samantha when Vicky Van Wyk introduced herself.
"Sorry sis, he doesn't like... people" Samantha wanted to say strangers, but this was her friend who knew what she was going through, someone who told everyone that she was her sister and anyone that would deny it not only would Vicky be on their case but her family as well.
"Charls, this is your aunt, you will be safe with her" samantha said as she went down on her hunches to be eye level with him "Mommy will be right here"
"Can I pick you up?" Vicky looked at Charls seeing the uncertainty in his eyes "Samantha will be right here holding onto me"
"Vicky, we need to go to the store" said Samantha as she picked up Charls instead seeing his discomfort.
"Mn, there is a supermarket right here, what do you need?" asked Vicky
"A cup, butternut, cheese and meat" said Samantha as she counted on her free hand "otherwise anything we will need for the house"
"No need, we have everything" said Jacob finally speaking
"Oh, and Brian is working and will be home later" said Vicky as she slowly led the way after picking up Charmaine "Was everything fine on the way here?"
"Mn, no delays and smooth," said Samantha
"Oh good, after the last time with the almost crash I was afraid that you got no sleep" said Vicky matter-of-factly.
"I didn't but you know me" grinned Samantha
Vicky did know her sister well, Samantha was an RPG, MMPROG and MMO gamer this meant the most she would sleep is four hours until she shuts down, this was because of where she had previously stayed as well before coming to her, she also learned that it was her daughter who took care of her brother for those hours allowing Samantha to sleep and when Samantha shut down it was luckily when her kids slept as well.
However, Samantha's bad habit was falling asleep on the single couch and never the bed for a 34-year-old, almost 1.7m woman she still somehow curled up clutching her pillow and laying her head on the arm rest while her body squished into the seat and fell asleep.
To Vicky this looked uncomfortable but somehow her older sister always woke up refreshed and smiling and not grumpy and sore. Another thing was her sister's way of eating, Samantha was a true foodie and could make anything that there would be enough for her still to munch all the time and she never picked up weight.
Vicky admitted she was jealous of Samantha high metabolism as she stayed between a size 6-8 sometimes a 10 whereas Samantha hated the fact that that she stayed this small and would often complain many times cry about it, but Vicky was not oblivious as to how Samantha attained her 'curse' as her sister put it and Vicky saw the curse in that part.
"Sit for mommy"
Vicky broke out of her daze as she saw her sister place her children in the trolley with a tired smile and remembered that her sister was very specific about what she wanted before it hit her.
