"Even the small things matter, and being the savior as well as a child at times it a blessing one should not take for granted not when it comes to making the one you love smile."
The next morning Samantha got the kids school not thinking anything of the previous day's conversation with Matthew as every morning was havoc.
There was lunches to be made and that was an argument between both her children as Charls wanted this morning chocolate on his bread with the various veggie sticks, bite size cheese, mini sausages and freshly squeezed orange juice the bread however that Samantha did put in was because her kids as she had learned shared their food with others in their school who did not have so him asking for Chocolate was not only unexpected but he was demanding it.
Samantha on the other hand would not have it as she went into the cupboard that she had kept locked and pulled bars of chocolate out and showed it to him,
"Here, please Charls I will put this in if you choose something else, please"
Samantha looked at the time and noticed that if she does not finish up soon, they were going to be late this morning and that is something she did not want but keeping her fragile patience she saw her son look at the bars in her hand and nodded before taking out the marmalade and placing it near his buttered bread before walking off to put his shoes on.
She sighed in relief as she placed the bars on the table and called to her daughter, this time however her daughter wanted mayonnaise on hers and an argument broke out that had Samantha bang her hand on the table and the house went silent.
"For once please, please just choose something that you can actually take to school! You cannot have mayonnaise on your bread for school, home is fine school is not."
Samantha took a small plastic container out and scooped a tablespoon into the tub and sealed it before showing it to her daughter,
"This you can use as a dip for your sausages now please Charmaine what do you want on your bread?"
Seeing Charmaine close to tears Samantha's temper that was caused by time being short vanished as took her daughter in her arms and held her tight.
"I am sorry, mommy is sorry but we are going to be late and if we are late then you have to do your work in the student office today and get a demerit mommy doesn't want that, okay?"
seeing that her daughter nodded into her Charls came over and hugged Samantha finally breathed to calm down, her OCD was taking a toll on her somehow ever since her part time work had become a permanent thing, it wasn't that her house suffered besides the toys she had to pick up after coming home from taking her kids to school and after they had gone to sleep, the minor dishes in the morning and the ones at night.
It was her time that suffered her schedule had to be on point these days able to spend time with her kids in the morning instead of rushing them to get finished so that she could be relatively relaxed once she put her laptop on to start working and finishing up before they got home so she could do homework then able to take a nap or just lay down and watch movies with them and having a minute of her time taking from her kids had her irritation levels rise.
Charmaine however chose the same as her brother and Samantha finally got finished with the lunches packed it and placed it in the school bags before rushing them out and down the driveway.
Charmaine quickly perked up and started talking about her dreams, friends and other things when the gate opened and hearing Charls shout 'Att' Samantha looked up and sure enough the grey ford was there waiting and once again he was leaning against the car with two takeaway cups on the bonnet and a brown paper bag.
