"My life which I believed was setting into a normal, exploded, how had it come to this?"

Saturday came fast and even though Samantha had not slept, excited about what would happen as she still had not told Matthew or the kids what her plans was, this weekend would be stress free as Monday would be all nerves and fatigue for the late-night study for her learner's exam.

She was determined to have fun and allow the kids to have fun so when the sun began to rise, she got up and made coffee and a snack so that they could have breakfast somewhere else, while doing this she made sure that there were enough funds to have this day.

As she went through her bank statements to make sure that everything had already been taken and sent, money to her adoptive mother, her aunt, enough to support them then the hefty sum she sent to her adoptive mother to put in a hidden account in case something happened.

Then there were the five accounts where there was money put in two for her children and their future just in case, one for her when she needed to retire, another was an emergency and the other was what Samantha called surprise medical bank and justly so as many times when her kids had gotten sick in the past the medical aid did not cover many costs no matter what you have.

But there in her own account after everything was taken off every month there was always enough for food, utilities, school fees, rent (yes rent Samantha believed that paying Catherine instead of living free in the house that she had bought for the family) she always had enough for fun days and once a week takeaway and movies and this was thanks to the interests of all her accounts that paid her back.

Samantha was so consumed by her bank statements and her sums that she jumped when small arms wrapped around her waist, Charmaine her seven-year-old daughter had woken realizing that her mother was not in their room thinking that her mother had once again fell asleep on the sleeper couch instead she found her mother staring at her laptop with her cup touching frozen on her lips, thus she decided to wrap her arms around her mother wanting to feel her warm body and comfort.

"Babygirl, it is early what is wrong?" Samantha asked as she expertly not messed a drop of coffee before setting it down and turned around.

"Momma was not in bed with us" Charmaine pouted.

Samantha smiled as she poked Charmaine's lip "did I not promise that I will not do that anymore?"

Charmaine "Mn, you did but now mommy is not only working but also gaming as well, mommy is going to get tired again"

Samantha understood where her daughter was coming from in the past Samantha admitted to herself that she had been distant, overworked, tired but that was in the beginning, when she needed to build herself up to be who she was even if that meant working through the nights and passing out in the process, Samantha kneeled so that her daughter was higher than her as she gently grasped her daughter arms and smiled up.

"Not this time Babygirl mommy has a schedule that works not only for mommy but for us as well" said Samantha as she then picked her daughter up and placed her on the counter next to her laptop and then showed her, her schedule "See when you and Charls are at school mommy will work it is enough time to do work then mommy streams while you and Charls fall asleep and watch mommy plays after that mommy shuts down everything and snuggles with you and go to sleep so mommy gets enough sleep like you do"

Charmaine hanging onto her mother's words and understood everything, her concern that her mommy was overworking again was diminished and she finally smiled.

"Are you ready for our special day with Uncle Matt?" asked Samantha as she put her daughter down and put the snacks to her.

Charmaine looked at the array, there was small cheese sausages, crustless ham and cheese sandwiches, chicken dino nuggets and a big glass of orange juice that she smiled and nodded before running back into the room she shared with Charls to wake him.
