Destined Hearts

Chapter Seven

"There are surprises and then there are wonderment, you however are both, you and your little family"

A few days of speaking to Samantha getting to know her better, Matthew knew what kind of person she was, as he now learned that there was two types of optimism in this world one that saw not only the light but also sunshine and rainbows, these people he generally stayed away from because they were to 'Chippy' in his opinion and there was another, one that believed that there is light in the world one that got glimpses of said light, one that believed that it is there but they were the people that walked in the darkness, this was Samantha he did not need to know her it was in the smallest details that she unknowingly exposed herself.

First it was when Royalpetal's warning for him to stay away not so much for his sake, but she was protecting her and another when Samantha spoke of herself saying in so optimism that she was supposed to stay single bringing herself down with a smile. Another small flag appeared when she spoke of her co-workers bring food to work after an incident, he never pushed her to find out, but he was damn if she was going to go through this alone.

Today however as he woke up early, completed all his tasks and work for today so that they could have no interruptions made breakfast and a flask of coffee so the only time when he needed to get away from his computer was to use the bathroom because today was special for him.

Matthew had already told his friends as well as her about each other and he might have done a little more than usual praising but to his friends, she was the one and to her his friends are the pillars to which he leaned on and he wanted them to meet. He already knew what time she came off of work, he also knew that it took some time before she would come on because she had her children to take care of, but this was taking longer than usual, and Matthew was getting worried.

Did he say something that had her scared? Or was it something that side that made her unable to come online, Matthew was not an optimistic and these thoughts ran through his head getting darker as he spiraled while a sudden noise faint at first alerted him.

As he slowly swam out of those dark thought the noise getting louder, Matthew shook his head to see the noise was a private call— from her, hastily he put his head set over his head and pressed the answer button, but he did not expect however the cutest voice to fill his ears.

Samantha would be lying if she said that she was not tired, between her day job that her sister had gotten her to her freelance job which somehow exploded overnight, Samantha was tired as she got home, Thank God for her sister who prepared a simple dish for rib-eye and potato and green salad before heading off to work, because she did not know if she would be able to cook.

It still perplexed her how demanding her name and work had gotten, one weekend her Nephew came over and she ignored all emails and calls wanting to spend the time with the children taking them to the park making cupcakes and A LOT of messes in the process, to painting on the wall with the owner bless her heart erected a wall on the barrier of the yard, made holders for the paint supplied the brushes and left a note taped:

"So that I to can have my mornings brightened"

Things like this did not happen for Samantha not by a long shot, her children was always chided when drawing on the walls by her house most of the time hit because of it, but here— here someone wanted to have them paint on the wall with bright colours enough to blind a person while they painted wonky animals, mismatched flowers and an array of mixing colours in a whirlwind.

Yes they all had a wonderful weekend, Sunday her sister's parent's decided to rather take them out to eat than cook at home and where else would they go but a child friendly area, this place had it all for all age groups and then there was a place where family could spend time together and also baby safe not to mention the food, the food was what every other restaurant had with an exception they thought about the children's nutritional needs, you wanted a burger you got a burger with a patty and cheese for them but this was different, the bun itself was not made of wheat but rather of cauliflower the meat was meat but it was an everything patty meaning that there was egg, potato, on the inside was diced bacon, the greens and everything else hidden in the cheese.
