Chapter 31

It was the middle of June. Not only was Casey's pregnancy getting uncomfortable, but the heat wasn't helping things. The boys were with Drew for the summer. However Drew still lived in New York.

It was very early in the morning. Casey and Max were on the road. Casey got up to go to the bathroom. When she got back into bed a few minutes later it woke Max up a little.

"Are you alright baby?" Max asked with his eyes still closed.

"Yes." "I just had to pee."

"Come here." She snuggled up to him. He kissed her on the forehead. "I love you."

"I love you too."

Later that night everyone was at the arena. Max had a few minutes before he had to go out and went up to Casey. He felt bad for her. She looked so miserable and she was just six months pregnant.

"The girls must know you're around." Casey said. "They're kicking up a storm."

"I came by to get my three good luck kisses ." He kissed her stomach twice. "Daddy loves you." They kissed. "I love you."

"I love you too."

After the show Casey and Max were taking a bubble bath together. Candles were lit.

"Can we name one of the girls Maxine?" Max asked.

"Sure."

The next evening was Father's Day. Casey and Max were at Casey's. They were sitting on the couch. Casey's voice chat ring went off. She pressed the button to connect. The boys popped up on the screen.

"Hi boys." Casey said.

"Hi guys." Max said.

"Mom give Max the card we got him. Casey got in her purse and took out a Father's Day card. She gave it to him.

"Read what we wrote." Daniel said.

He opened the card. "We're so glad you're in mom's and our lives." Max read aloud. "We know you'll be a great dad." "You're a great stepdad." "We love you." "Love Drew and Daniel." Max had tears in his eyes. "Thank you." "I love you guys too."

They all talked for a few more minutes before disconnecting.

Max hugged Casey.

"That was so sweet of the boys." Max said. "How long has this been planned?"

"About a month." "I knew you'd be happy."

"I am."
