Chapter 6

Flashback

It was the third week of  September, 2006. Casey's MySpace account had been hacked and her feelings about Drew were shared with the whole school. Casey was devastated and embarrassed beyond belief. Instead of facing Drew at lunch period she hid in a back stairwell. Knowing her like he did however Drew knew exactly where she was. Walking down the stairs he found her. Her back was to him.

"Hey." He said sitting down next to her. "We should talk about this."

"No."

He took her hand. "Not even if I love you too?"

She looked at him surprised. "What?"

"I love you too." "I just didn't think you were interested. They kissed.

In just a little over a month the boys would be back home. Tonight Dynamite was in New York. Casey invited Kenzie to the show. They were at the arena talking at Casey's workstation before the show started. Max came over to them.

"This must be Kenzie." He said. "I've heard a lot about you."

"Yes it is." Casey said. "Kenzie this is Max."

"It's nice to meet you."

"It's nice to meet you to." Kenzie said.

 "Casey where's catering?" "I want a water."

"I'll show her."

"Can you bring me back a coffee?" Casey asked.

"Sure thing." "Two creams right?"

"Yes."

Max and Kenzie were walking to catering.

"Kenzie, I need your help." Max said. "How do I get your sister to go out with me?"

"To be honest Max, I don't know if you can." "Part of it might be your age but that's not all." "She thought her one true love was Drew." "It killed her when he left her and the twins." "The only advice I can give you is don't push." "The more you push the more she'll pull away."

"Thank you."

After getting what they needed they went back to Casey. Kenzie could sense just by listening to them talk to each other, that the chemistry between Casey and Max was off the charts.

After the show Kenzie decided to spend the night at Casey's since her house was closer.

"Max seems like a great guy." Kenzie said.

"He's a good friend." "I told him what happened with Drew, everything."

"That's surprising." "I know you hate talking about it."

"Yeah." "I just feel like I can open up to Max." "I don't know why."

"Because you like him." Kenzie said smiling.

"I do not."

"You do so." "You're just afraid so you're denying and running away from it."

"No I'm not."

"Oh please."

"I told you, he's too young for me."

"You still like him."

"I'm going to bed." She got up and went upstairs.

Kenzie knew Casey was in trouble. She knew Casey liked Max but didn't know if she would ever admit it. Just like she was positive Max was in love with Casey.
