Chapter 24

The last six weeks had been terrible for both Casey and Max. It hurt her so much not to even acknowledge Max anymore. It hurt him as well. Max was doing his best to move on with his life. He'd went on a few dates and even slept with one of the women, but all he could think about was Casey.

Valentine's Day had recently passed. Drew had taken Casey to a Bed & Breakfast in the country. Casey and everyone were at home. They were having dinner.

"Mom, do you not talk to Max anymore?" Drew Jr. asked.

"No I don't, why?"

"Every time he talks to us, he asks about you."

"Yeah, I had to quit being friends with him." "He was getting kind of weird."

"Weird how?" Drew Sr. asked. "Like something you should tell Tony about?"

"No." "Nothing like that." "I think he was always hoping I'd change my mind and go out with him." "Once we got back together and he realized it wasn't gonna happen, he got jealous." "To the point to where it was making me uncomfortable and I stopped hanging around him."

Max had an autograph in Pittsburgh. When it was over he went over to Austin's house.

"Austin I can't take it." Max said. "I miss Casey."

"I know you do dude, but she made her choice."

"I'm thinking about doing something crazy."

"Like what?"

"Asking Casey to marry me."

"What?" He said shocked. "Max."

"I want to show her that it's not just something I'm telling her." "That I'm serious about our future together."

"You're just gonna get hurt again."

Later that night Casey was standing by the bathroom sink.

"Drew come here." She said.

He came into the bathroom. "Are you ok?"

"Yeah look."

He looked down at a positive pregnancy test, looked back up her and smiled. "Really?"

"Yeah." They hugged and kissed.

"I love you."

"I love you too." "I think it's another set of twins." She lifted up her shirt and was already starting to show. "My stomach looked exactly like this when I was pregnant with the boys."

"Boys, come here." They both came to the doorway. Casey showed them the pregnancy test.

"Awesome." Drew Jr. said hugging Casey.

"I hope it's a girl." Daniel said hugging Casey. "I want a baby sister."

"Thank god it's twins." Casey thought. "That means Drew is the father."
