Happy reading :)

AUTHOR'S POV

Rudraksh and Shivani are in their room, he is working on his laptop and shivani is reading a novel. She found one in Aditi's room and her eyes shone like a child who saw his favorite toy so Aditi gave the book to her and made a mental note that next time she goes to a bookstore she will take shivani with her.

It's a romance novel, where the male main lead is a mafia boss and he kidnaps a wrong girl by mistake well obviously he won't accept his mistake.
They hear a knock, shivani gets up and opens the door. Anjali walks in with a smile and faces both of them. She likes at how relaxed and free Rudraksh looks when he's around Shivani, even when he's working.

"I just came to inform you two, that tomorrow," She looks at shivani, "you will go to your house for pag phera rasam. I talked to Meera just now." Shivani stiffens. Rudraksh notices it and before he could protest on her behalf, Anjali raised her hand, "I know it's been two days and you like your wife, but it's a ritual. She'll come back in a day so don't argue." She turns towards Shivani who was now paler than ever, "you must have missed them right, I will handle Rudraksh."

Shivani gave her a smile, the best one she could muster, and Anjali wished them good night and went away.
"Are you okay darling?" Rudraksh steps towards Shivani. "Yes of course I am fine." She tells him, she can't say she doesn't want to go, it would look weird, and she doesn't want her parents to hurt Rudraksh Or his family, she wouldn't be able to forgive herself if something happen to them, they are all so good to her.

She pulled back her arm that Rudraksh was holding, "I think I am going to sleep. Good night." She was lying, he knew it.
"Is something wrong?" He asked again in hope that maybe she just needs to know that he wants to hear her.
"No Rudraksh, why would something be wrong?" She said, she was pissed, her expressions gave it away and so was he because he knew his wife was lying and he could not do anything about it, and he hated lies.

He went back to work and she went to sleep, at least for the world, sleep wasn't an option tonight for her. All she was going to do was to think about how she's going to get out of there as soon as possible.

RUDRAKSH'S POV

I have been given the responsibility to drop my wife off at her house before I go to office, I feel like kidnapping her and keeping her to myself. She's become to silent, she hasn't spoken a word since she got up, all she's doing is biting her nails and that shows that she's anxious to go there. And I can't do anything, she gets defensive if I ask her anything.

Chachi just took Shivani away, I didn't ask why. I gather all my files, keeping it in my briefcase. I also pick up Shivani's backpack, it's very light weight, she should have taken novels from Aditi for passing time but maybe she has other plans. I have noticed she loves reading books, and I like the reaction she gives, it won't be noticeable to anyone else, but I see it, her occasional wide eyes, her small gasps, her blush, that makes me jealous I mean I have the sole right to make her blush, I need to find out what kind of books is she reading. I see her book lying in the balcony, I pick it up and keep it in my briefcase, maybe I will read it myself to see what's in it.

I find Shivani in the kitchen with Chachi, she is holding two small boxes, I guess maa won't let her go empty handed obviously. She smiles and hugs both maa and chachi. She says, "I am going to miss everyone." Both maa and chachi chuckle, "you're coming back tomorrow. Don't be so emotional." Maa says, and chachi continues, "plus you're seeing your parents, you won't miss us at all."
Shivani is silent for a minute and then smiles, "yes you're right, I am coming back tomorrow." She says. She sees me and walks my way, she tries to take her bag but I glare at her, nice try, if she thinks she will carry anything when I am around, she's wrong.

The drive to her place is quite, she's looking out of the window. I notice the bounce of her legs, I can't take it so I keep my hand on her thigh. She looks at me perplexed but I look straight on the road.
When we reach her house, she gets out first, I get out to help her with her bag, but she gets to it first, I hold her wrist before she can go away, "if you feel like coming back home, you call me immediately."

She opens her mouth to argue but I silence her by putting my finger on her soft and plump lips. Her brows are furrowed but she nods and get her wrist out of my hold. I see her walking past the gate. I don't like this feeling. I feel she should not be here. But I don't object, I sit in the car and drive to my office.
