RUDRAKSH'S POV

"Dude what're they doing?" Aaryan grunts. We're all sitting in the living room watching T-20 world Cup. This is a do Or die match, we really need to win this. If you grow up in Indian household, you are trained to love cricket, that's the rule no. 1.

"They're trying buddy!" Siddhant glares at Aaryan, "Are they, Pakistan jaisi fielding kar rahe hai." Aaryan glares back.

Translation: They're fielding like Pakistan's team

"India will win." I say with finality in my tone to stop these two from bickering so that I can watch the match. They shut up pretty soon. "That's a no ball." Shivani says. My head snaps towards her, she's already looking at me, "isn't it?" She questions tilting her head.

I look over at her, seeing her question me with a raised eyebrow.
I turn my attention back to the screen, my eyes scanning the field and the players. It only takes me a moment to realize she's right. "Yeah," I say finally. "It's a no ball."

"Wow bhabhi, you're good. I didn't know you watched cricket too!" Aaryan plops on the sofa, looking at her, a blush rose on her neck and I hate it that I am not the reason for it.

"I don't. I am still learning about it." She says silently. "Learning?" I question, Her response has piqued my curiosity. "Learning?" I repeat, a note of disbelief in my voice. She looks at me, her blush deepening. "Yeah," she says, her voice barely above a whisper. "I'm trying to understand it better."

There's something in her gaze that makes me wonder if there's more to her newfound interest in cricket than meets the eye. I can feel my irritation rising slightly as I continue to watch her blush under my gaze. I lean closer to her, my voice dropping to a whisper. "And why the sudden interest in cricket, darling?" I ask, the nickname slipping out before I can stop myself.

Shivani stiffens slightly, her eyes darting to the others in the room before looking back at me. "I just want to understand what all the fuss is about," she says, her voice slightly defensive.

"You're lying. What did we talk about that?" I threatened, she looks in my eyes this time and says, "you like watching it." I look at her confused, "so?" I question, a frown forms on my forehead, "so I wanted to learn it, so that we could watch it together." She whispers, her head down.

My irritation begins to melt away as I listen to her words, my expression softening. She wanted to learn cricket...for me? A wave of emotions wash over me, my irritation quickly replaced by a mixture of surprise and inexplicable happiness.

I lean back against the sofa, my gaze still fixed on her. "You wanted to watch cricket...with me?" I ask, my voice rough with emotion. She nods slowly, lifting her eyes to meet mine. There's a vulnerability in her gaze that makes my heart ache. "Yes," she says softly. "I thought it would be nice to have something we both enjoy."
