SHIVANI'S POV
"The stars are bright tonight, aren't they?" I say, I am sitting in Rudra's lap, his idea not mine, I am definitely not into public display of affection, but according to him, he needs to constantly touch me so he had forcefully made me sit in his lap, but I won't tell him that I am secretly liking it too.
"Not as bright as you, meri jaan." He says and kisses my forehead. I laugh at the cheesiness.
I nudge him gently, shaking my head. "You're so mushy," I say, a smile tugging at the corners of my lips. He feigns wounded surprise. "What, I can't compliment my beautiful wife?"
I swat his chest, "stop it." He laughs at my flustered state and I pout. Aarav enters in the living room, and I jump from his lap, Rudra looks at me dumbfounded. I blush furiously, feeling both embarrassed and flustered. I can feel Rudra's gaze on me, but I avoid looking at him. Aarav shakes his head in amusement, a playful glint in his eyes.
"Can't keep your hands off each other, huh?" he teases.
"Shut up," I mutter, feeling my cheeks grow even hotter. Rudra laughs, standing up and resting his arm around my shoulders.
"Don't bother her," he tells Aarav, a hint of warning in his voice.
Aarav just chuckles and plops down on the couch. "You two are hilarious. It's like watching a rom-com live."
I roll my eyes and stick my tongue out at him. "Well, not everyone can be as cool and composed as you, Aarav."
He laughs. "Touché, Bhabhi."
Aditi ji and Siddhant enter the room, Aaryan just behind them, he looks busy reading something on his phone. Aarav has invited his friends too, he asked for my permission first, in case I get uncomfortable, he's so considerate, whoever will be his wife, will be very lucky. I guess all men in this house are so thoughtful, it's hilarious now, knowing that people fear them. The elders have gone to a temple for two days, so Aarav and Aditi ji planned a movie night.
When everyone is settled, "bhabhi, what movie do you want to watch?" Aditi ji asks,
"Anything but horror," I say quickly, making everyone laugh.
"Don't worry, Bhabhi. We'll stick to something fun," Siddhant says, scrolling through the movie options on the TV.
Rudra pulls me back into his lap, and I give him a playful glare. "Really? Again?"
"Yes, really," he says, his eyes twinkling. "I need you close."
I roll my eyes but secretly enjoy the feeling of being in his arms.
I shake my head in mock exasperation. "You're impossible, you know that?" "But you love it." He grins.
Aarav laughs. "I don't know who's more cheesy, you or the actual cheesy romances we're about to watch."
