A Giant Hiccup (Reader Insert)

A Little Mischief

(Another chapter up! Enjoy!)

Hiccup breathes in the mid-morning air as he holds onto the saddle while Toothless glides across the sky. He opens his eyes and leans forward, "Alright, bud. Let's go!" He says. Toothless roars as Hiccup positions the prosthetic tail-fin and Toothless flies faster. It has been three days since he grew to full-size and he had ordered for some downtime. One: so that he could take time to relax and come to terms with his situation. Two: so it would give (Y/N) and Midnight time to get settled in. Three: Everyone can relax after the his first growth into a giant.

Toothless then dives down and Hiccup hollers in joy as the Night Fury then flies across the water and causes it to part slightly as he flies at an intense speed. He then flaps his wings as he flies upwards and barrel rolls. Hiccup laughs from the rush, feeling relaxed and at peace. He then sits up as he sees Dragon Edge getting closer, "All right, bud. Let's go check on the others." He pats Toothless. The dragon purrs then flaps his wings as he approaches the island. Once he arrives he flaps his wings before landing on the wooden ground of the clubhouse. Hiccup gets off him and gives him a pat on the head. "That was fun. And much needed." He says as he cracks his neck a little.

"I bet." Hiccup then looks to find Snotlout reclining back as he sits at the center of the place. Hiccup walks over and sits in a chair, "What are you doing here, Snotlout?" Hiccup asks him. Snotlout shrugs his shoulders as he stops reclining and rests his arms on the table. "Oh, you know..." He trails off. Then a creaking was heard. "Gah-Omph!" Hiccup yelps as the chair he was in broke and he landed on the floor. He sits himself up and Toothless rushes over and checks on him. Snotlout laughs as he stands up, "Oh-ho-ho-ho-ho! You actually fell for that?!?" He laughs harder, holding his stomach. Hiccup gives him a glare as he stands up, "Really, Snotlout?" He says in an annoyed tone. Snotlout smiles innocently, "What~ It was harmless." He says. Hiccup crosses his arms as he gives Snotlout a glare.

"Come on. You can become a giant and you have been 'Hiccup' size for three days now." Snotlout complains. Hiccup closes his eyes as he pinches his nose, not noticing his increase in height. "This isn't something to play around with, Snotlout. If I'm not careful-Ow!" Hiccup stops his rant and opens his eyes as he removes his hand from his face to find that his head had hit the ceiling. "Ha! Gotcha!" Snotlout laughs again. Hiccup lowers himself a little as he places a hand on the ceiling and rubs his head to sooth the pain he got from the thud. "Really? You pranked me just so that I would grow?" He asks rhetorically. Toothless looks at Hookfang, for which the Monstrous Nightmare only huffs in response at his rider's behavior.

Hiccup bends down to be on his knees, careful to not break anything. "Snotlout, this is not something to play around with." He tells Snotlout. "Yeah.... But don't tell me you aren't interested~" Snotlout retorts. Hiccup looks away from Snotlout as he thinks. He has mostly been trying to remain his normal size for he was trying to maintain some normality but with them being away from Berk, it would not hurt to try. And he was curious about his new power. "Fine." He gives in. "Can I come?" Snotlout and Hiccup jump from the surprise voice. "Gah!" Hiccup yelps as the shock made him grow and hit his head on the ceiling again.

"Sorry! Sorry." (Y/N) then enters the room as she apologizes. "I didn't mean to scare you." She says. Snotlout scoffs. "Pfft. I wasn't scared." He denies. "Boo." "AAH!" He screams as he jumps again and looks behind him to find Ruffnut and Tuffnut laughing at him. "We could not help but overhear your conversation." Ruffnut starts. "And we would love to get to see some giant action." Tuffnut adds. Hiccup rolls his eyes at the twins behavior but then closes his eyes as he calms down. He shrinks back to his original size and (Y/N) lends him and hand for which he takes. He stands up and addresses the others. "Okay, fine. Wait... where's Astrid and Fishlegs?" He says. "Oh. Fishlegs told me he would be busy with reading and jotting down the information I told him about involving how dragons can channel magic and Astrid went out on patrol." (Y/N) says.

"Thanks, (Y/N)." Hiccup says to the (H/C)-head. "But also, no more pranks." He states sternly to the other three. The twins and Snotlout look away, pretending to be innocent. "I think getting a handle on your growth would definitely help. After all, it's not every day one obtains such power." (Y/N) says, holding her hands up and creating little balls of light to prove her point. Hiccup smiles at the display and then looks at her. "Well then, let's head out." He says.

(I have a fun idea for the next chapter and try to get it out as soon as I can. It will also be longer. Later!)
