A Giant Hiccup (Reader Insert)

A Chief and a Witch

(Sorry, everyone! It's been a while since I updated this book, but here we are! I hope you like it.)

After a rather awkward time, everyone is now in the main hut as they eat the stew (Y/N) made. The dragons were outside as they eat fish and Midnight stands guard behind (Y/N) while she sits rather stiff as Stoick glances at her. The twins sigh after they finish the rest of their stew. "I have to say, (Y/N) makes a mean stew." Tuffnut says. "That is true, brother." Ruffnut agrees. (It's good stew.)

Hiccup coughs into his fist, "Uh, right. So, uh, Dad... I wasn't kidnapped." He starts off. Stoick raises a brow, "I believe that has been established now, son." He replies. Hiccup looks away and scratches his head, "Right...." He says. (Y/N) notice his behavior and moves to place a hand on his free one on his thigh. She inhales deeply and looks at Stoick. "Well, to start things off, IT WAS AN ACCIDENT." She states, holding her free arm up and lowering it in a chopping motion. Stoick sets aside his bowl as he rests his hands on the table, "I'm listening." He says.

(Y/N) inhales deeply, "Okay, so that crate was meant to be teleported to me but the guy was probably rushing so it ended up being teleported near your village. I snuck into your home to grab the stuff but then Toothless appeared so I had him take a nap with some sleeping powder and then I heard Hiccup coming up so I exited then house and sent the stuff to my house and waited to get the last one. However, I squeaked and Hiccup noticed, tripped backwards and got splashed with the stuff of the last bottle and I grabbed it, teleported out of there... And I'm sure you can guess the rest." (Y/N) explains, then inhales deeply and thuds her head on the table. (😮‍💨)

Hiccup flinches from that and Astrid rubs (Y/N)'s back in a soothing manner. (Thank you, Astrid. ☺️)Everyone became quiet as they all watch Stoick close his eyes from the information. He opens his eyes as (Y/N) lifts up her head to look at him, "Well, I will say that this is rather... shocking." He starts. He looks at Hiccup, "But are you in any pain, Hiccup?" He asks. "No. I'm fine, Dad. Honest." He answers. Stoick nods his head, "Right. Could I speak to you and (Y/N)? Alone." He requests. Hiccup looks at (Y/N) and she sits up as she nods her head.

They and Stoick walk out of the hut and head to Hiccup's. (Y/N) gives Midnight a pat, "I promise, it'll be okay." She says to the Stormcutter. Toothless walks over and gives her an affectionate rub of his head. Skullcrusher huffs gently as he joins them and Midnight turns her attention onto him as they start to get to know the other. (Y/N) enters the hut and the doors close, leaving her, Hiccup and Stoick the only ones in the hut. And after explaining the rest of the situation, Stoick leans against a table and sighs heavily. "Magic, giants, and witches?" He says. Hiccup scratches his head while (Y/N) moves some hair out of her face. "And crystals." She adds. (Lots of crystals. 💎) Stoick sits on a chair as he rubs his forehead, "I have to admit, this is more surprising than when you changed the course of the village, son." He says.

Hiccup chuckles nervously as he stands in place. "Yeah." He says. (Y/N) rubs the crystals on her gloves as she walks over to Stoick. "I... I-I can understand if you are upset at me." She says. "What?!" She flinches from Stoick's exclamation and steps back as he stands, "Why would I be mad at you for helping my son?" He asks her. (Y/N) blinks in surprise at that. Stoick rests a hand on her shoulder, "You have helped my son and doing everything you can to get him back to normal." He says. (Y/N) stares at him in surprise. "And if my son trusts you, so do I." He says. (Really? 😮)

The witch's (E/C) eyes shine from the support and let out a breath in relief. "I have the ingredients but it will still take some time. Preparing the elixir, spell circles and runes." She holds up her fingers to list the things needed to be done. Stoick chuckles at her determination, "Ha, ha, ha. You have passion. That is a great quality to have." (Y/N) smiles bashfully as she brushes her fingers in her hair. Hiccup watches with a smile at seeing his father and (Y/N) getting along.

But then sighs in relief and grows from the stress and  worry he had been holding back. "Ow!" He yelps as he finds that he had reached the ceiling. (Y/N) and Stoick look up at him, "Son, you alright?" Stoick asks. Hiccup lowers himself as he rubs his head, "Yeah, I'm fine." He assures his father. (Y/N) holds a hand up to her face to cover her smile, "You have bonked your head on the ceiling a lot." (True. 🤭) Hiccup rolls his eyes and gets down on his knees, "Yeah, well sometimes I forget I can grow to crazy heights now." He responds. (Y/N) giggles and Hiccup could not help but smile from that.

Stoick sees that and smiles. "Well, I best be going now. It was nice meeting you, (Y/N). Do take care of my son. And, Hiccup, send a message for when you are about to be back to normal. I want to be there for you." He says. (Aw, such a caring father~) Hiccup smiles and holds his hand to his father. "I will." He assures. Stoick holds his son's large hand with his own. "And next time if you go through a gigantic growth spurt, do it outside." He jokes. Hiccup looks away as he cringed at the memory of his house being destroyed. "Noted." He states.

(Y/N) could not help herself and bursts out laughing. "Ah-Ha! Oh, Gods! He was so close so many times." She snorted as she laughs. Hiccup scowls playfully then picks her up in his hands, surprising her from the sudden lift. He holds her up to his face, "So you take pleasure in my suffering?" He asks her. (Y/N) gives him a smirk, "What can I say? I haven't had good comedy in a long time." She says. Hiccup gives her a frown then smirks as he tickles her with his free hand. (Y/N) squirms as she laughs as she is tickled. (Tickles!)

Stoick chuckles watching the two, though still a little surprised at the fact his son is part giant now. "Oh, Thor Almighty. What a day." He breathes out. (I'll say.)
