YOUR POV

Its been seven months since the titan attack, and seven months since my whole world came crashing down. I haven't heard from Levi, nor Mary. Nightmares flooded my dreams, giving me less and less time to recover the day. I don't want to live anymore and without the King and Queen, everyone just forgot about the social status. Although, some are still trying to find the long lost King and Queen.

I've hidden my identity, there is no reason for me to be in charge any longer. I have lost all reason to be Queen, without my King by my side I wont partake in anything royal. I will no longer be Queen and no longer rule the land. Levi is most likely dead, even though I hate to admit it....he has to be. No one can survive the titans....and that's why I want to join the survey corps. If I die, I want to die while making a difference, I want to die with honor. Not for my heritage, but for my bravery.

They are having try outs this coming fall, and I'm going. I am of age, I'm 19 so it shouldn't matter. Its just...Samuel isn't happy with it. He's the guard that saved me and he's been helping me through the year. I told him a couple weeks ago of my plan to join the Survey Corps and he nearly murdered me.

"(y/n), you are not going to join the Survey Corps!! I wont allow it!!" He yelled. I clenched my fists and yelled,"Its not your decision to make!!" He grabbed me by my shoulders and said,"The city needs a Queen and with out you, there will be chaos everywhere!" I threw his hands from me and said,"I am no longer Queen! With Levi gone from me I will no longer stand in the royal court! I will no longer be apart of something I know nothing about!!"

Samuel looked confused,"What do you mean, you know nothing about?" He asked. My head fell and I said,"I never, really got to take control. My "mother" and father were the only ones allowed to take part in anything of that matter. They wouldn't even let me go to the royal counsel." Samuel was quiet then asked,"Who even got this idea into your head? I swear, if it was that Isabel girl!"

I scowled and said,"No! It was me! I wanted to go, it was my idea! My brother and my husband both died...but not in battle! I can too! I can carry on their honor of being a soldier!!"

Samuel sighed, bringing his fingers through his hair,"Let me guess, you're already training with them...aren't you?" I nodded and said,"Farlan said if I were to go to the military, I would need to be in good condition. We've been training for 7 months now. I guess you can say there's no going back now."

Samuel pinched the bridge of his nose and said,"Fine...but (y/n)..." I looked up as he walked close, placing a hand on my shoulder,"Don't leave my side when you make it...please." I felt my cheeks grow hot as I nodded,"Ok..."

With that he left. Samuel had always kept his promise about visiting every week just to see how I was doing and make sure I had everything I needed. I was happy when he visited, I had something to wait for with anticipation, and finally when he came I was able to hug him and tell him about my life in the underground.

It's not as bad as I originally thought it would be, but recently I've gotten arrested...twice. I guess getting in fights isn't something I should do. But, I couldn't just stand by as that man assaulted that women. But, in the end, I went too far and almost killed the man. The women thanked me, but Samuel yelled at me...after he made sure I was ok.

"(y/n)!!! Did you hear?! They're are soldiers from the Survey Corps coming down here!!" Isabel screamed with joy. I smiled and said,"No, I didn't. Come on, let's go to the highest peek and see if we can spot them." She nodded and grabbed my hand, running off to where we would spy on them.

As we ran, there was a loud boom and a man came flying by,"Huh?!" I gasped looking over. Isabel flew to the ground and so did I, tripping over her and hitting a wall,"Ah-hah!" I gasped, the air leaving my lungs. I looked up as Farlan came running over to me and Isabel,"Run! They're looking for outlaws!"
