LEVI'S POV

"You bastards! We could have saved her!! We could have brought her home!" I yell at the men around me. My hair clinging to my face, my hands covered in her blood, and my heart beyond despair.

"Levi."

I look over to see Erwin, his face, emotionless.

"It was my call to retreat without her. If you're going to take your anger on someone, let it be me."

My eyes widen at his words, my sword acting upon instinct and moving to slice this man whom I thought I could trust,"Damn you! You never loved her! You only wanted her for the throne! You only wanted her to be crowned! You son of a bitch!!"

Erwin grabbed my blade and held it tight,"What you say is true..but I would never wish death upon anyone, especially someone like her."

I fell to my knees, holding my head in my hand,"Damn you..." I cried softly. Erwin released my sword and it fell to the ground beside me, as he walked away. As they all walked away...leaving me alone, just like they left her.

YOUR POV

My body moved stiffly. My feet tripping over everything that wasn't grass. I walked all night and all morning, not stopping for rest for water. Titans came and go in the distance, not seeing me pass along the trees. I held my side in pain with every step.

"Why did they leave me...why did they go...why haven't they come back for me...why didn't I get up with them..."

These thoughts. All these thoughts. They were making me go crazy. Was my own fault, or was it theirs..?

Just up ahead, I could see the walls. The blazing sun beamed down upon my fragile skin, burning it to a bright, luminescent red. It hurt to the touch, and made me feel more weak by the second. I continued walking. I kept moving, I wanted to get home. I wanted to live.

I tried calling for help, for someone to open them, but my voice wouldn't produce. As I got closer, the wings of freedom emblem could be seen on the wood of the gate. I could feel it, safety, I'm so close to getting it.

My steps quickened, my hand reaching out for the gate, desperately wanting to be inside them once more. My fingertip grazing the splintered wood,"H-help..please.." my voice, barely above a whisper, not making it through the wood of the gate.

I made me hand into a fist, hitting the wall as hard as I could,"Help! Help please!" I cried out, my vocal cords creating calluses. I looked over in the distance, hoping to not stir the titans out here with me,"Somebody please! Help me!" my hands banging against the gate once more

"Is somebody out there?!" The voice, one of shock and horror came through the gate.

"Yes! Yes! Please! Open the gate!" I cried out loudly, trying to let them know I was here.

The sound of yelling could be heard as men came together to get the gate open,"Ma'am! We're going to get you out of there! Just hang on ok!"

I nodded, laughing silently in relief,"O-ok! Thank you!"

I stepped back as the gate began to rattle and creak as they pulled it up. Just as they pulled up some of the gate, a man crawled out under neath and said,"Come on..I gotcha.." he held out a hand, telling me to get on the ground so they wouldn't have to have the gate all the way up. I did as he said and they pulled me under the gate.

"Ahh!!! Ahhgahh!!" I scream, gravel making its way into my wound.

"Bring a cart!" One of the men yell to the civilians. A cart was wheeled over and I was lifted into it, my insides feeling as if being torn once more,"Where are you from?" The man asked.
