YOUR POV

"Have you thought about my offer?" Samuel asked softly. I sighed and nodded,"Yes...b-but...I-I don't know. Samuel, I can't just love someone else after loving him, he was...my world."

"But you're mine (y/n). I can't live without you, when I saved you that day, I felt terrible for feeling this way, but even more so, I felt happy that I could save you." Samuel said, grabbing my hand,"S-sam..." I whispered, meeting his gaze.

He slowly brought a hand up to my cheek and leaned in slowly. I began to panic, not wanting to hurt him, and not wanting to betray Levi,"S-s-samuel!" I gasped out, quickly burying my face into his chest. He wrapped his arms around me hesitantly,"I'm sorry." He whispered. I was shaking, tears falling gently,"I-It's ok..." I whispered out.

He rubbed my back in a comforting way,"I-I just can't...love again. Even though, I feel safe with you...no one can replace the place Levi holds in my heart." I said sadly. Samuel nodded slowly and said,"I understand. Please...just stay by my side and don't die. If you die, I won't be able to live with myself. (y/n)...you mean a lot to me so, if you just stay by my side, I'll be happy."

I nodded and hugged him tightly,"Thank  you for understanding. I just...can't, even if I care for you more than the others, you won't be able to take his place...I-I'm sorry." He only nodded and pulled away, only to walk away,"Just don't get yourself killed. Please..." He whispered.

With that I that I just sat there, it's been a whole week since the Graduation and becoming apart of the Survey Corps, but even so, I'm still stationed at the training grounds. It seems as if they had a mission to do and our move to the outer walls was pushed forward, making us wait longer. But I can't wait, I want to get there, now.

"Hey (y/n), what's up?" Isabel smiled. I looked up and sighed,"Nothing. When are they supposed to get back?" She giggled and said,"I've never seen you so eager like this before. Why do you wanna get there so bad?"

"Because. Erwin was in the squad who left. And I need to know what he was going to tell me, so I need to get there as soon as possible. He seemed to be angry at me...but I don't know why..." I said sadly.

"Well they're supposed to be back by tomorrow or the next day. We're packing now, so you should come on and get your stuff together. We'll be leaving tonight." Isabel smiled brightly. I looked over shocked and asked,"When did they tell you this?!"

She smirked and said,"Just a few minutes ago, that's why I came out here, to tell you." I got up and hugged her tightly,"Thank you! Come on, let's go!"

It was finally time to go, we were loaded onto horses, provided thankfully by the Survey Corps, and headed off to the Survey Corps station in the outer walls. Isabel and Farlan rode next to me,"We're finally going to be part of the Survey Corps! Huh (y/n), aren't you excited?!" She screamed. I smiled and nodded, looking over to Farlan who was smiling as well,"Thank you..."

He nodded and said,"You were great company around the house, you helped us get to the outside world. What more can you do?! You made our lives better (y/n), there's no denying that. It's me who should be saying thank you...so. Thank you (y/n), you really changed our lives for the better."

As we rode, we finally passed the last wall to the outer one, my smile widening as I took in the fresh wood air, the air I was so used to, but taken away from and hidden into the undergrounds. It was lovely, the air I loved ever since a child. I would always sit at my window and take in the beauty that laid just within my grasp, but still to far to reach.

"Look!" Isabel screamed. We looked to the side, a large, burned and shaken castle standing in the distance. I quickly stopped my horse, my eyes widening as I stared,"Cadet (l/n)?! What are you doing?! Get back in formation!" My leading officer yelled.
