The Day You Lost It All

CHAPTER 1

YOUR POV

 

  I woke up to the sound of chimes, the same chimes I always heard when I woke up everyday. I rose out of bed and saw Mary, she's my maid that helps you with everything. She's more of a mother to me than my real mom," Good morning [name], I prepared breakfast for you. Did you sleep well?" she greeted.

I smiled and sat on the edge of my bed," I slept rather well, thank you." I replied.

  She came over to my side and helped me up. I was undressed and fitted into a beautiful gown. It was the same thing every morning, nothing really changed, that is until I heard news of 2 sons coming to visit from another kingdom. One was my age and the other two years ahead. Me being 17 now I thought that it was a plan for a wedding.

One day as I sat down at my piano I asked Mary," Is it true?". Her being just a simple maid didnt know everything but she did get word.

 " Yes [name], its true. But it can be cancled. Sir Balto is a very busy man so he may decide to have you go visit them. It all depends on how things play out in the future." She said sitting down next to me.

I looked up at her and smiled weakly," But I dont want the things here to change. I'm happy the way it is, I dont want to leave." I cried.

 Mary brought me into her arms and said," Its going to be fine. You wont be leaving in a long time. Now come, we must finish your piano lesson.". She started to play and so did I. All I wanted to do was get the matter off of your mind.

 It was midnight when I heard loud screams and glass breaking everywhere. I opened my eyes at the force of someones hand over my mouth. It was a very large man, he was wearing all black clothing and a mask over his face. I couldn't believe what was happening, at that very moment I saw Mary come up behind him and bash his head with a guitar.

 The man fell to the ground and I started crying," Mary, whats going on!?" I asked horrified. She didnt answer just pulled me out of bed and down the stairs. When we got down, there were several large men stealing from your home," Theives?" I whispered.

Mary looked at me with sorrow and said," Ma'am, we must leave now. Come, what ever happens you must get out of the castle and into safety. You must get to saftey even if that means without me.".

 That wasnt an opption," No, no. I'm not leaving you. If you leave me I have no one. Please Mary, please stay with me!" I sobbed. She hushed me and said," I'm sorry, but I cant promise anything. You must live, dont worry about me, live on.". She grabbed my hand and at the right moment we both made a run for it. Trying to get to the cellar where we escape by the window.

  We both made it down there but I suddenly hear footsteps coming down the stairs. She pulled me to the window and pushed me up and out. When I turned around I saw someone grab Mary and pull her back," MARY!!!" I yelled.

Her last words were," Run, run [name]!!!! Run!!". As I was told I ran and ran trying to get away from the castle. My eyes blured from the tears that wouldn't cease to end. I ran and came upon this gate that seperated the rest of the city from the castle. I ran through the gate and was stopped by two men grabbing my arms, and I screamed. " NO!!! NO, LET ME GO!!!" I yelled. 

  I looked at the two men and they were with the Survey Corps. They calmed me down and hid me inside the gate," [name], Where is the King and Queen?" One asked. I just looked him in the eyes and cried," I-I-I....I DONT KNOW!!". The man sighed and walked away to the other. They were talking about how they would need to figure out a way to get you out safely and protect whats left of the castle.
