Masqueraed Massacre

CHAPTER 8

YOUR POV

Its been a whole month since I last saw Levi, I dearly miss him but I cant go back. This night we're having a Masqueraed Ball and I have to go. Max said that if I dont go then he'll make me. So I have to get ready, I miss Lola and Lucy picking dresses for me, I really do.

  I now have Elizabeth to help me, she acts more like an aunt than a sister. She bought a dress the other day and said that I was going to wear it for the ball.

Its a white and black dress, the bottom half is straight and falls to the floor. On the hip is a white sash that goes to the other hip and its met with a white rose. The top is white and black floral print. Its a very lovely dress but I dont plan on impressing anyone so why go to great lengths to look nice.

  I was put into the dress and had my hair put up nicely. Elizabeth walked in with a black mask with white ribbon," [name], please cheer up. Everyone is coming to see your brother and how your brother has changed. No one will be able to see you through this mask so please cheer up." She said placing it on my face.

I looked away towards the window and saw carriage after carriage lined up in the driveway," What if he comes?" I said softly. She rubbed my cheek and said," Dont worry, you still love him and he still loves you, so you have nothing to worry about.". She brushed my [h/c] hair out of the way and said," Smile.".

 I did as she said and she walked out of the room. I sat by the window waiting to see his face but I never did. It was 8:46 by now and one of the maids came and got me," Miss [name], your brother has requested you come and join him.". I got up and walked to the door," Very well, tell him I'm on my way down." I said closing the door.

  I walked down the stairs and came upon a crowd of people staring at me with smiles," Goodevening everyone, I hope you have a lovely time." I said smiling back.

Max came up to me and grabbed me by my hips and spun me around," Im so glad you showed, please, dance. Come [name] dance with me.". He lowered me back to the floor and I took his hand," Ok, just keep slow. I dont have much expieriance with dancing. Erwin tried to teach me but it didnt turn out so well." I said putting my other hand on his shoulder.

  He took me to the middle of the floor and we began to dance, everyone else cleared th area for us and watched us, it was somewhat uncomfortable becuase all of them were watching.  So I had to make sure that I didnt mess up and make a fool of myself.

 Once the song was over we bowed and I stepped outside. I went to the secret garden set off from everyone else, I would go there sometimes at night when no one was up and think about what Levi might be doing. I was sitting down next to my favorite tree when I heard screams, blood currdling screams like that one fateful night.

  I ran to the gate of the secret garden and saw fire in the windows and hundreds of men running in and out of the house with valuables," MAX!! ELIZABETH!!!" I yelled. I ran to the house and ran inside. I was surrounded by flames and murdered people, I looked around and saw Max lying on the floor with Elizabeth covered in blood.

I ran over to them and fell to the floor next to them, my dress stained red from all the blood. I grabbed Max by his shoulders and shook him," M-max.. Max! Max wake up, please!!!" I yelled. He raised a finger to my mouth and said," H-hush, t-they'll f-find you. [name], I-I'm s-so s-s-sorry I-I b-brought you h-here. R-run." He whispered. I looked down and saw a sword plunged right through his stomach," M-max, w-who did this? Why?!" I yelled.

  He smiled and said," [name], Its....my...t-time.". My eyes widened at his words," No! No! MAX! NO!!!" I yelled, not even caring if they found me anymore. I shook him again," No! Max please!" I yelled. He lifted a hand to my cheek, his blood smearing all on me, but I didnt care," R-run, Mary...w-would w-want y-you to l-live on...[name]..run." He whispered closing his eyes.

" Max...Max! Max! Open your eyes now! Open them God Dammit! Dont leave me all alone again! Your my big brother, you cant leave me all alone!! Please, I....I need you!!!" I yelled shaking his lifeless body.

I looked down at him and Elizabeth, their hands held together and let the tears flow. I stood up and slowly pulled the sword that killed my brother out of his body. I heard footsteps behind me and men laughing," Oh look, theres one left. What should we do with her boss?" One asked.

  I heard the footsteps get closer and then stopped," Bag her." He said finally. At his words I turned around quickly and screamed before driving the sword deep into the mans chest," You scum!! You lifeless BASTARDS!!!! How dare you!!!! You All Deserve To Go To HELL!!!" I yelled pushing it in further. The men stared at me with fear as the one who was dying looked at me with pain.

His body went limp and I pulled the sword out, the others scared and angry ran at me," You little bitch!" One yelled. There were 10 men in total in front of me, I sliced ones arm then anothers neck and so one. I was at the last two when I was stabbed in the back.

  I looked down and saw the sword sticking out in front of me, blood covered it entirely. I dropped the sword and cried,'' You all...dont u-understand. U-until I s-see him a-again I-I'm not dying.". I slowly walked out of the sword, it ripping the bow I had in my [h/c] hair making it fall to my hips. The two men in front backed away and one yelled," Just die!".

At that exact moment I heard a yell for my name, I looked over and saw a figure running towards me along with another one. But it was too late, the man behind me struck me again and everything went black. The call of my name echoing through my head, it was Levi.
