Aegon's Pov,
9 months later.
Standing in my tent with the thousands and thousands of other tents around me I have to keep my sigh at bay.... to be honest what do I know about war? Absolutely bloody nothing and yet here we are. We've been fighting for months and yet more and more men have been being sent her by the Triarchy..... I wonder where they are getting them from to be honest! The dragons have been giving us the advantage, but they just hide in their fucking caves!
I'm so done with this, I miss my bed.... I miss a decent bath.... and to be honest I miss Alicent. A raven came months ago that her and Viserys where to wed and that they wished for me to be there, but I couldn't fly back.... what does that say about me? That I will let my men stay away from the ones they care for months upon months and yet I'm willing to fly back to King's Landing for a wedding?
No...... I wasn't going to do that. Like Rhaenys she wants to see Laena again and yet she stays here with Melys because we need them both. Either way I hope to end this war sooner rather than later.
Did I think fighting would go on as long as this? No. There have been wars that lasted years, all I hope is that this one won't be one of them. "Your grace, ships have been spotted probably with supplies and new men from the Triarchy." The voice of Lord Corlys says as he walks into my tent, and I look up from the map and towards him.
"Then we will greet them with Fire and Blood." I say as I grab Blackfyre and walk out of the tent, walking between the tens and the men who are also I think are more than ready to go home I strap the sword on my hip while Vermithor loudly roars as he gets ready to land on the clearing.Reaching him I let my hand move over his scales while making my way over to the saddle and the soft purring of Vermithor is being heard. Climbing onto the saddle soon Rhaenys and Laenor do the same and I look up to the clear sky before Vermithor simply takes flight.
Gliding over the ocean, the distant small islands could offer a breathtaking view—if it weren't for the shipwrecks and the stench of decay that linger in the air. With Seasmoke and Meleys on either side of me, we cut through the peaceful skies even though they will not stay that for a long time.
And soon I see the about 20 ships in the distance as they carry the flags of the Triarchy making Vermithor roars leave his mouth. "Lykirī Vermithor." I softly say as I put my hand on his scales and the roaring quiets down.
Coming closer and closer soon catapult balls and arrows ae flying our way but the arrows that do hit Vermithor......... these people try and try things like this will never be able to penetrate the skin of adult dragon and yet they can try. Even Seasmoke's skin is as good as safe from it..... the Dornish one had just a lucky shot, in the eye of Meraxes. But still Vermithor isn't very fond of having the arrows being shot our way.
Flying down I let my eyes move over the men who are running around but look like ants from up here as they panic more and more as we get closer and closer.
"Dracarys!" I say just above a whisper and soon the sea of waves start to leave Vermithor's mouth as the ships catch fire while screams are being heard and the scent of burning flesh mixes together with that of the sea.
Seeing Seasmoke and Meleys also breath down their flames onto the ships I know that soon they'll lay on the bottom of the sea.
Alicent's Pov,
Rubbing over my stomach I can't stop the small smile that's on my lips, Aegon was rigth some men they don't care about a woman in the bed and Viserys he's one of them..... it's not like it was with Aegon god's he did thing with my body.
