Aegon's Pov,
Day's Later,
Walking into the Throne Room with Lord Corlys behind me I soon see Viserys stand there with a big smile on his face. "Brother, it warms my heart to have you safely return! You've slain the Crab Feeder and took control over the Step Stones!" He loudly says before many start to clap and cheer while I nod my head, and not long after her brings me into an embrace.
"Your back, safely. This calls for celebration."
"Maybe but not tonight, I've quite missed my bed these last months and I think Lord Corlys and his family also wish to spend some time together." I say as Viserys has his hands on my shoulder and soon gives me a nod. "Of course, of course but tomorrow we will feast. Your victory calls for it. And you must meet my son, a son..... I never thought the gods would bless me with one."
"Alright, Tomorow we will feast."................
Pushing the wall away soon I find myself into Alicent's chambers, she does not sleep with Viserys and even though there are more ladies who don't truly live with their husbands it's not something I would wish.... it just seems so weird?
Stepping further into the chamber I close the passage behind me before I hear steps coming my way. "Aegon." The voice of Alicent breaths out and soon she lunges forward before her arms wrap around me.
"One would think that you missed me." I say with a chuckle but to be honest I couldn't stop my arms from wrapping around her too. "I did miss you." She softly says and I place my lips on top of her head. "It's alright I'm back now, fortifications are being build on the Step Stones so that this will not happen again."
As she pulls away from me her dark brow eyes soon meet my violet ones. "There's someone you need to meet." She says as she takes my hand and pulls me with her further and further into the chamber before the small crib comes into view.Looking down into it soon violet eyes are staring back at me. "This is Aego-"
"I know, you gave Viserys finally what he wished a son." I say as I cut her off but she shakes her head. "I hadn't bled before I wed him, Aegon. That's why I put haste behind the wedding." She states making a frown appear on my face. "He's yours." She adds and my eyes stare back at the small child before I carefully pick him up. H-he's mine? I-I have a son, and yet my brother thinks he's the father.
"A son." I say with a smile on my face as I hold him carefully and soon, he grabs my finger making my smile probably only grow. I cannot pass him the Iron Throne; I cannot truly be his father.... not yet at least.... but I will be there for him, teach him, love him and one day we will tell him the truth.
"You'll be so loved Aegon. To the world I may not be your father, but I will be there." I softly say as I lean down and carefully place my lips against his forehead. Turning towards Alicent she has tears in her eyes, and I pull her closer to me with her free hand as she wraps her arms around my neck while resting her head against my chest.
"I-it's going to be alright, I'm here."
The Next Day,Standing in the Gardens with a glass of wine in hand I let my eyes move around the people in conversation. And so many already came up to me I lost count after the first 47, to congratulate me on our victory over the Triarchy. It's like they were there themselves, but as king it's better to hold friends in Westeros than enemies.
