Part 20

Aegon's Pov, 

Some Time Later, 

Walking behind the girl I place my chin on her shoulder. "I think a congratulation is on it's place, happy name day." I say as Leana turns her head in my direction while a teasing smile plays on her lips. 

"You honor me your grace, that you find the time to come all the way to Driftmark to celebrate my name day with me." She says and I release a hum as I step away from her just when the large doors open and Princes Rhaenys walks in with her arms open. 

"Cousin," she greets, approaching me with open arms and enveloping me in a warm embrace. "Princess," I reply, returning the hug briefly before we both step back. "It's wonderful to see you again. How was your journey here?" she inquires with genuine interest.

"The trip was fine. Viserys and the others will be here shortly. It's become quite clear once again that traveling by dragonback is much quicker than by sea. And I've heard that Lord Corlys is organizing a tournament for Leana's name day," I share, a hint of excitement in my voice. I've already enrolled in the tournament... What better way to celebrate than to claim victory at the event honoring my betrothed's name day?

"Ow yes he insisted on it."

"Well I wish the best of luck to the contestants." 

"You're the mystery knight who signed up are you not." Leana more states than asks and I turn towards her with a playful smile on my lips. "I do not know what you're speaking about, but it would come in handy if you tell your father not to wait for me before he starts....... and I will be asking your favor." 

"I won't be sure if I'll give it to you." She counters pulling a chuckle from my lips as I shake my head. "Shame, in a fortnight your to be my wife.... and my queen, yet you do not wish to give you my favor while I'll fight to honor you." I tease back as I start to walk away from her and Rhaenys. "It seems that I will now be fighting with yours, cousin." I say back to Rhaenys who shakes her head with a chuckle before I walk out of the chamber.

Sitting on my horse as we've come to the final match I hold the lance tightly in my hand while the favor of Leana hangs around it, as Leanor is on the other side on top of his horse soon the trumpets play and it makes us both send our horses into a galop. 

Coming closer and closer to him while I ready my lance it soon hits him hard against his chest plate and it makes Leanor fly off of his horse while loud cheers and claps are being heard. So far I can't say I didn't have fun today. 

Riding over to the box where the Small council, Rhaenys, Leana, Alicent and Rhaenyra are seated I soon pull my helmet off of my head and give Leana my best smile. "It seems the gods favor the both of us." 

"And you had to knock my brother off of his horse for that, your grace?" She counters as she rises from her seat and walks over to the railing while a chuckle leaves my lips. "Did you wish for your husband to be to lose at the tourney that's for you on your name day?" I counter with a smirk making her lean over the railing before the voice of Little Aegon is being heard. 

"KEPA!" He practically yells the top of his lungs as he runs towards the railing. "Did you see me knock Leanor off of his horse, little dragon?" I ask him and he quickly nods his head with big eyes. 

"Since I won, I would like to know what my price will be my lady?" I ask Leana and she leans further down making me nudge my horse closer towards her. "I don't know, what do you wish...... your grace." She whispers in my ear. 

"What can a simple lady like me give a king like you." She continues lowly and it pulls a chuckle from my lips. "You'll be queen of the Seven Kingdoms in a fortnight...... you can gift me something than."
