Aegon's Pov,

Some Day's Later,

"Your grace a word please." Lord Corlys says as he walks over with Rhaenys while I stand in the gardens and overlook the narrow sea. "We are sailing out soon Lord Corlys until the crown is placed on my head I can not start a war on the Step Stones." I say and he shakes his head.

"We wished to speak with you about something else, if I may speak freely?" He asks and I nod my head. "You are off age to be wed, and in only a few days you will be coronated like your grandsire wished it when he named you his heir all those years ago. But your line is vulnerable so we would like to join our families, Wed our daughter, Laena. Unite the two great surviving Valyrian houses. With the Targaryen dragons and the Velaryon fleet bound in blood and vows." He says and Leana? She's like young? Younger than Rhaenyra, and yet I can't deny that wedding Laena Velaryon may be the best option.

Her father holds the largest fleet and is the richest house in the Realm, her brother is a dragon rider as is her mother. I would rather have Lord Corlys as a ally than as a enemy. "And this is what you wish too cousin? For your daughter to wed me." I say as I look towards Rhaenys.

"I know the way of things, soon enough Laena would wed and if I could chose I would rather have it to someone I know would treat her well, cousin." She says and I turn to look back at the see again.

"Some speak that salt courses through the veins of the Velaryons, through mine flows fire I was always meant to burn the question is well it be Laena who's meant to be burn with me. Give me a few days to think about it, you'll have my answer soon enough." I say making Lord Corlys bow his head.

"As you wish, your grace." He says before they both walk away from me while I walk over to the railing and tightly grab it in my hands. Some might wish for me to wed Rhaenyra keep the blood pure, but yet Laena also shares the Targaryen blood and with her comes a fleet and well like I know it's better to keep Lord Corlys as a friend than as an enemy.

Feeling something nudge against my shoulder I release a sigh as I turn around to come face to face with Vermithor. "Maybe we should just fly away my friend, more times than not I wish grandsire never had named me his heir.... we could have seen the world, done what we wished. Now people all just want things from me for their own gaine. And yet it feels they all will get what they want but me."

....................................................

Night has fallen and I'm walking through the God's wood back towards Maegor's holdfast and my chambers, I took Vermithor for a flight I wished to clear my head.... something that I was not very successful in.

"Aegon." A voice says and I soon see Alicent rise from the spot she was clearly sitting under the Weir wood Tree. "You should adres me with your grace and I will address you properly, now goodnight Lady Alicent." I say as I get ready to walk past her again but she grabs my arm making me raise my brow as I look down at it.

"I-it's just please, let me explain."

"What is there to explain? Nothing. You are to be wed to Viserys rather not see one another in the cover of darkness anymore before people start to whisper. Now please remove your hand from me." I simply say and she shakes her head with tears wishing to pool from her eyes.

"My father wishes for me to wed him." She whispers as a tear runs down her cheek and I release a sigh, even I as King can't stop that. She's his daughter and he decide who she'll wed. "And what do you want?"

"It doesn't matter, maybe your right... we shouldn't see one another anymore it was wrong." She says as she now moves to walk away but I pull her back by her arm as her eyes now start to search mine.

"Answer me.... what do you wish."
