The Love of a Dragon

Part 14

Aegon's Pov, 

The camp is big and bloody lively, this isn't a hunt. Viserys has hunters out to look for a beast than they will catch it and he then wishes for me to kill it?! What kind of hunt is that! I want to go out, find my own tracks and hunt the bloody animal down myself before having to drag it back to camp.

"This isn't a bloody hunt." I mumble before sipping from my goblet of wine while Viserys pats my shoulder. "Then how would you wish to go hunt?" 

"Not with all these people, with a bow and arrow preferably."I simply say as the tent is just fill of people talking about who knows what. "Your the king Aegon....... these people are here for you." Viserys says making me release a hum. 

"And here I thought they were here for Little Aegon's second name day.  So how about I take little Aegon and we both sneak out of here to go on our own little hunt?" I ask him and he releases a small chuckle as he places his hand on my shoulder. 

"Hunt? He's two years old." 

"A great time to go on a hunt don't you think? Come on please, we'll be back before you even know it and some call me the best swordsman in the realm nothing will happen to us.  And if you say no I'll play the King card." I say before a little body crashes against my legs making me look down only to have violet eyes staring back at me. 

"Come on Viserys we both know you can't say no, it's good for him the nature....... hunting... becoming a man." I continue and he soon releases a sigh while I pick Little Aegon up and he wraps his arms around my neck. 

"Ser Ha-" 

"No one will go with me, now bye, love you! We will be back!" I say before I quickly start to walk away with Aegon who's giggling loudly as he moves to hang over my shoulder. Grabbing some food and water sacks I shove them into a bag. Making our way out of the tent I start to walk over to my horse, raising my brow as I pass Rhaenyra who's talking to none other than the gold shitting Jason Lannister I have to keep my chuckle at bay. 

I think she would rather throw herself off of the Wall than even entertain the thought of wedding Jason Lannister. "Your grace., can I offer you the finest wine you've ever tasted." He says as he looks at me and I shake my head 

"We have many things to do but I think Viserys might want some wine from Lannisport he's got quite the taste for it." I counter while not even stopping to entertain the man for a second. Reaching my horse I place Aegon down on the front of the saddle before grabbing a bow and quiver that's on one of the weapon racks. 

Mounting the hose myself I soon grab it's reigns before simply riding off as people look at me with surprise, and whisper amongst one another..... most likely about why me and Little Aegon are riding off but for now let them whisper, it's his first hunt better make it a good one..... even though he most likely won't remember it.

Doesn't mean I will forget it. 

Alicent's Pov, 

Sitting with the other ladies and Lord Lyras Strong I have my hands on my stomach while my eyes are moving around the large tent in search of my son. The years have been good...... or as good as they can be in this situation. 

Aegon truly loves his son and it always brings a smile on my lips to see the two of them together, but it also saddens me that to our son he's his 'uncle' I know Aegon wishes to say the truth one day to our children but who knows what would happen than.
