5th of July, 2015
The "4th of July party" ended up being a family gathering of 10 people.
And it wasn't even for 4th of July either; it was an uncle's birthday, which was evident from the large writing in the sand saying "Happy Birthday Uncle Mark".
Niall and Louis thought it was fine to stay though. What goes on in their heads, I don't want to know.
It wasn't until one of the children recognised the boys and -very loudly- yelled "Is that Harry Styles?"
The mother of the child didn't seem too happy with their surprise guests and evidently told us to leave.
But they didn't own the lake so I don't think they could do that.Or maybe they did.
Niall was obviously told he wasn't allowed to drive otherwise he would be taking us to every gathering he could see.
That might've been where Harper got the idea that Niall was outgoing and socialable.
Zach ended up driving because he didn't trust any of us to drive anymore. We arrived at our hotel a little while after that at two in the morning, successfully signing in at reception and getting up to our rooms.
When I woke up the next morning, it was like any other; Caroline turned up at my door with an invitation down to the hotel pool but seemed overly buzzed about something.
"You seem happy," I say as I step out the door.
"We've got a day off." Caroline grinned, handing me a beach towel."Did the show tonight get cancelled or something?" I ask, furrowing my brows.
"No, just Kathy is away doing stuff for her wedding so basically it's a day off because she won't be getting us to do odd jobs leading up to the concert. Well, a day off until 6 because I still have to go do the show." Caroline explained.
What I really don't understand is why almost everyone on the team doesn't like Kathy. I mean, yes, she is a bit bossy at times but it is her job as a manager.
I ended up asking Caroline why they all seemed to resent Kathy, and she just said "It's the way she acts as if she's better than us." Which, I never noticed or had her act that way towards me, but I'll take her word for it.
Me and Caroline stayed by the pool for a couple of hours, up until we realised Caroline jinxed herself and got called away because of something faulty with the stage.
I stayed in my room for about an hour until 12 when I inevitably got bored and went to see Mum.
When I knocked on her door she opened it holding a bowl of what I think was bleach.
"You alright, Cameron?""Yeah, I just got bored by myself; are you busy?" I ask, indicating to the bowl of bleach in her hands.
"No not at all, come in."
When I walked in I sat on the edge of her bed and saw a chair set up infront of a mirror.
My mother doesn't bleach her hair?
I was about to question her on why she was mixing bleach when there was another knock at the door.
She set the bowl down on a bedside table that was moved next to the chair and opened the door, non other than Niall walking in.
"Hiya Beth, Cameron." He said my name like a question but continued on and sat in the chair. I should've been able to put two and two together and guessed the bleach was for Niall since he was quite obviously a fake blonde.
I decided I would loose my mind if I was back in my room alone any longer so I ended up staying. Mum hadn't even started on Niall's hair before Connor had turned up at the door saying she was needed for something.
