"Reality continues to ruin my life"
-Bill Watterson---
A couple girls, fans of Forever Winter, walked over to Niall asking for autographs and whatnot. Niall was distracted while I now had a sharp blade to my neck.
He appeared from behind me, one hand on the granite surface and the other holding the knife to my neck.
I knew if I asked or yelled for help the blade would be through my throat in a second, so instead I was trying to look around and see if anyone noticed.
Bartenders weren't here, the girls around Niall were solely focused on him -I don't blame them-, and everyone else in the club were doing their own thing.
Oh my God.
I might die today.
Were my thoughts during this.
The man used his free hand to take my phone case off my phone and removed my keycard.
Not my bank card though.
"Thanks for this, sweetheart." His cold voice whispered into my ear and I recognised him as the guy from the woods. He removed the knife from my neck and I was almost grateful until it stated grazing across Niall's jacket.
"Wouldn't want to ruin this would we?" He trailed off, starting to take it off one of my shoulders. The left sleeve was now halfway down my arm and resting at my elbow.
The blade stated trailing my arm the same way it did before just without the layer of protection of the leather. He stopped tracing it, instead starting to dig the blade into my arm at a painfully slow pace.
Then suddenly, he drove it into my arm and ripped it back out, running away as I yelled in pain.
Niall turned around faster than the flick of a light switch, eyes scanning over me until he found the problem.
He set whatever he was signing on the granite surface, stuffing my belongings into his pocket and scooping me up in his arms. I had my other hand pressed to the wound on my arm to stop some of the bleeding. Niall was pushing his way through the crowd, nearly pushing a few people to the ground.
He brought us into the club's bathroom, checking if anyone else was inside before locking the door. Niall took me over to the sinks, setting me on the counter.
"What happened?" He asked as he took the jacket off and set it aside.
It felt as if my ribcage was tightening in on my lungs and restricting my breathing.
"He, he just walked up behind me, took the key to my hotel room, stabbed me in the arm and left,"While I was explaining what happened, Niall had plucked some tissues out of a tissue box, folding them to make them thicker and placed it on my arm.
"Do you know how big the blade was and how deep it went into your arm?" Niall was acting calmly which was surprising to me considering the tissues on my arm were already covered in a deep red.
"What? No- I don't know."
"That's alright- look, anything I do to help will probably not actually be helpful but I'll do the best I can with no medical training, okay?" Niall looked up at me sympathetically.
"I really don't care whether you're medically trained or not I just don't want blood gushing out of my arm," I say, watching as Niall removed the tissues from my arm and threw them in a trash can.
Niall began running water in one of the sinks, delicately moving my arm under the running water.
"If we see that guy again, don't ignore him just hurt him back. He's clearly not going to stop since this has happened multiple times." He cleared the excess blood from around the wound and moved my arm back, gently inspecting it.
