Y/N stood next to Lin-Manuel Miranda at the stage door, a sea of eager fans clamoring for autographs and selfies. The energy was electric, and she loved interacting with the audience who admired the show so much. Lin was engaging with a group of fans, signing playbills and answering questions with his usual charm.

“Y/N! Can I get a picture?” a young woman called out, her voice full of excitement.

“Of course!” Y/N responded warmly, leaning in for a photo. She signed a few playbills and exchanged smiles and small talk with the fans.

As the crowd began to thin, one fan lingered. He was older, with an intense gaze that made Y/N slightly uneasy. He stepped closer, invading her personal space.

“Hey, you were amazing tonight,” he said, his voice low and too familiar. “Your voice really is angelic.”

“Thank you,” Y/N replied politely, stepping back subtly.

“Can I get a picture?” he asked, though his tone suggested he wanted more than just a photo.

“Sure,” she agreed, albeit reluctantly. He draped an arm around her shoulders for the photo, his grip a bit too tight and lingering too long. She pulled away quickly after the shot was taken.

“You know, you’re even prettier up close,” he said, his eyes raking over her uncomfortably.

Y/N forced a smile. “Thanks. I appreciate you coming to the show. I have to go now. Bye.”

She hurried back inside, trying to shake off the unease. She didn’t want to worry Lin or anyone else, so she kept the encounter to herself. After all, it was just a fan being a little too forward.

They finished the remaining set of fans, pushing the earlier incident to the back of her mind.

After the fans left and they were back backstage, Lin noticed her packing up quickly.

“Hey, you want a ride home?” he offered, concerned. “It’s late, and you shouldn’t be walking alone.”

“I’ll be fine, Lin,” Y/N insisted with a smile. “You know that my apartment is not far from here. Besides, I need the fresh air.”

Lin frowned, clearly not convinced. “Are you sure? The city can be—”

“I’m sure. Thanks, though. I’ll see you tomorrow,” Y/N interrupted, trying to sound confident.

“Okay, but be safe,” Lin replied, still looking worried as he watched her leave.

The cool night air hit Y/N’s face as she walked down the quiet streets. She enjoyed these moments alone, where she could decompress after the high energy of the performance. She was only a few blocks from her apartment when she heard footsteps behind her.

“Hey, wait up!” a voice called. Her stomach dropped as she recognized the voice from earlier.

She turned to see the same fan from the stage door approaching her. Her heart rate quickened, but she forced herself to stay calm.

“Oh, hi,” she said, trying to keep her voice steady. “I’m on my way home. Have a good night.”

“Come on, don’t be like that,” he said, closing the distance. “I just want to talk. I can't tell you enough how amazed I am of you. How about we go somewhere and get to know each other better?”
