"GRANDMA!!!"

Beomgyu ran towards his Grandmother Jung-hee and embracing her tightly. It was late when he arrived on the island in Incheon, but he was fortunate to catch the last trip of the boat heading to their island.

"Oh my Lord, my grandchild! You startled me!" his grandmother exclaimed joyfully. Beomgyu chuckled as he released the hug.

"I really wanted to surprise you, grandma. I brought some gifts for ya~" he handed over a paper bag containing the presents he brought for his grandmother.

"Oh, you shouldn't have bothered, my bear. You should have saved this money for your studies." Jung-hee replied lovingly.

"Grandma, I have savings~ Besides, it's just once in a while, so please accept it." he sulk.

"Hahaha... this redhead baby. Alright, it's up to you. By the way, have you eaten dinner? How many days will you stay here?"

"It's perfect that I'm hungry, Grandma! And I told my boss that I'll be here for three days before returning to Gangnam!"

In truth, he only informed Dongmin. Taehyun was unaware of his departure.

"Sit down, silly bear, so I can serve you. Rest after you eat, you must be tired from the trip." Jung-hee uttered as they caught up with each other while eating.

After cleaning himself up, Beomgyu entered his room and lay down on his bed. However, sleep eluded him. He slowly walked out of his room and headed towards the door leading outside their house. Sitting on a bench outside, he gazed up at the vast sky filled with countless stars.

A smile crossed his lips as he spotted a cute black kitten jump out on the wooden fence. Its cute big glowing green eyes staring at him before it ran away in the darkness. It reminded him of Taehyun.

Taehyunah...

Hyun, are you still mad at me?

Do you... still looking for me?

"You seem to be sighing deeply, red bear." Jung-hee remarked suddenly, startling him.

"Grandma!" Beomgyu exclaimed, surprised, putting his hand on his chest. He hadn't noticed that his grandmother had left the house too. They sat together on the bench.

"Hmmm... I see, those three things mean only one thing. First, you have a problem. Second, you're thinking of someone, and third, both the first and second things I mentioned." Jung-hee said with a sense of certainty.

Beomgyu couldn't help but to chuckle. His grandmother really knew him well. He leaned his head on the old woman's shoulder and hugged her tightly.

"Tell me, my bear, is something bothering you?" Jung-hee asked gently, caressing his red hair.

There were many things Beomgyu wanted to say, but he hesitated. He was sure his grandmother would only ask more questions.

A long silence passed between them before Beomgyu sighed again deeply, gathering his courage to ask a question himself.

"Grandma...?"

"Yes?"

"H-How did you know that you loved Grandpa?" he felt his grandmother pause, before she started to stroke his hair, again.

"I remember when I was twenty years old, I met your grandfather at a dance in town. At first, I didn't like him because he was just a simple fisherman, and I used to scowl at him all the time. But when I saw how determined he was to win my heart, that's when I slowly started liking him, until I realized that I loved him... When I turned twenty-four, we got married right away."
