Beomgyu couldn't sit still as he rode back to the mansion. He decided to cut his three-day vacation short and return to Gangnam. His grandmother, Jung-hee, had also advised him to go back when she noticed Beomgyu's anxiety after reading Taehyun's text messages.
He immediately called Aunt Soule to inform her of the change in plans, the woman arranged for Changbin to pick him up at the pier.
Beomgyu couldn't help but worry when he heard that Taehyun had been acting out wildly and hysteric upon learning of his departure.
As soon as they arrived at the mansion, he quickly got out of the car and rushed inside. He made his way to Taehyun's room and gasped at the sight before him. It was just like the first time he arrived at the mansion, the room was in complete disarray.
Taehyun was thrashing out while several bodyguards and Aunt Soule tried to restrain him. His black hair was disheveled, his clothes were rumpled, and his eyes were red and swollen.
"TAEHYUN!" Beomgyu called out, catching the teary-eyed younger's attention.
Taehyun broke free from the bodyguards' grip and ran to embraced him tightly as he reached the older. He buried his face in Beomgyu's neck, continuing to sob hard.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry B-Beomgyu... I'm sorry if I was so bad to you last time, please don't leave me again. Please, please..."
Beomgyu rubbed his back, trying to calm him down. "Shh, it's okay. I'm here now, I won't leave again."
"Take him to your room, sweetie. Let him rest. He hasn't stopped crying since you left." Aunt Soule spoke gently, patting Beomgyu's back.
"Okay, Auntie." Beomgyu turned to the younger. "Let's go, Hyun? We'll go to my room."
Taehyun allowed the older to lead him but didn't release his grip on Beomgyu's petite body.
Once they're inside the older's room, Beomgyu laid the younger down on the bed. Before he could move away, the younger pulled him down beside him, draping a leg over him and burying his face in his neck again.
Beomgyu could feel younger's hot breath fanning on his neck. Gently, he stroked the younger male's disheveled hair.
"I'm sorry for acting like a bad guy last time, Beomgyu. I just... I was so shy and I didn't know how to act in front of you because you didn't love me..."
"Taehyunah..."
"But it's okay. It's alright that you don't love me, as long as you're here with me. So please, don't leave me again, okay?"
"Who said I don't love you?"
Taehyun froze, lifting his gaze to the older in disbelief. He softly smiled, but it didn't reach his eyes. "I-I know... You love me as your little brother, right?"
Beomgyu smiled and wiped the tears from Taehyun's smooth cheek. "At first, I thought so... But I realized I was wrong."
He loved Taehyun.
There was no doubt about it.
Beomgyu knew he had felt something special for the younger since their first meeting by the river on Incheon. He had just been in denial at first, perhaps because he was unsure about the difference in their lifestyles and the younger male's condition.
It helped him a lot when Taehyun got angry at him and after he talked to his grandmother about understanding his true feelings.
It was all new to him, but he couldn't hold back his deep genuine feelings for the younger anymore. There was nothing wrong with taking a chance, right?
