"They look like my lil bro."
Beomgyu couldn't meet Jungkook's hawk gaze, he gulp down his fear. The man was intently staring at his children. When they met outside the restaurant restroom, the two man's insisted on talking, so despite his brother Soobin's reluctance, they brought them to their home.
"Uhm... Where's Dongmin-hyung?" Beomgyu nervously asked in whisper to fix the awkward air. The other man had left them for a minute to take a call. He still felt uneasy about Jungkook's presence, even though the older man was just sitting silently.
Why isn't he talking?! Take a deep breath and remain calm... He's not going to bite you, Beomgyu.
Beomgyu sighed, warming up his shaking knees. The room felt really awkward. When he looked up, he saw Soobin and Jungkook glaring at each other. It was as if they were telepathically scrutinizing each other's souls.
"Who are you?" Jungkook asked coldly, narrowing his gaze. Beomgyu panic mode turned on, he had forgotten to introduce his half-brother.
"He's-"
"Ha! You don't know me?" Soobin glared, raising an eyebrow. He then laughed sarcastically. "Well, we've met before, once, at your University 8th Anniversary."
Jungkook furrowed his brows. "Oh, I see..." he leaned back on the couch, crossing his arms over his chest. "A Professor."
"Nice guess, Mr. Kang."
Beomgyu could feel the heavy tension between them, an uncomfortable sweat started formed on his temple. He wished Dongmin was there to handle everything.
"Uhm, Sir Jung-"
"It's Hyung." Jungkook interrupted him, with his usual murderer expression.
"Y-Yeah... I'm sorry, for that, H-Hyung..." Beomgyu's voice almost a whisper.
"No need."
Beomgyu make a tight smile and gripped his pants to steady himself and avoid stuttering. "Ah, this is my half-brother, Choi Soobin. He's the one who helped me with the twins..."
Jungkook stared for a moment and nodded in understanding. Soobin, on the other hand, rolled his eyes and stood up, still keeping his gaze fixed on Jungkook.
"I'll watch the twins. We'll be in the playroom so you can talk properly." Soobin said firmly as he picked up the twins.
"Thanks, Hyung." Beomgyu forced a sweet smile.
Soobin nodded, gave him a quick kiss on the forehead, then glared back at Jungkook again before heading upstairs with the twins.
Tch. I forgot about this guy. Choi Soobin, huh? Jungkook sat up, leaning his elbows on his knees and resting his chin on his hands as he stared at Beomgyu.
"How have you been? Choi Beomgyu. It's been two years since you left my lil bro." Jungkook stated, looking directly into his eyes.
Beomgyu couldn't speak immediately, feeling scared and intimidated by his expression and tone of voice.
"Why did you leave, Choi Beomgyu? Why did you abandon our baby brother?" Jungkook asked bluntly when they were alone in the living room.
Hearing that, Beomgyu couldn't stop himself from crying out. "B-Because he gave me a reason to leave and abandon him! Taehyun left me first. I... I waited for him for days to explain things properly, but what happened? I f-found out he was enjoying himself in someone's arms!"
"What do you mean?" Jungkook asked with a furrowed brow. "Tell me, Choi Beomgyu."
Beomgyu wiped the tears from his cheeks, trying to calm himself as he trembled with a mix of emotions and hearing his complete name from the older man really scared him.
