After waiting around for the teens, Miles finally let me know he was on his way to my room with Pavitr, Gwen, and Hobie. We planned for everyone to meet up here so we could head to my earth together. A quick knock on the door alerted me to their arrival, and I jumped up from my spot on the couch to answer it. Miles, as usual, was acting like he'd had a few shots, but that was just his personality.

"Wassup, [name]? Happy birthday, dude!" Miles exclaimed, pulling me in for a hug. Everyone followed suit, wishing me a happy birthday.

"You're an old geezer," Hobie added in his usual nonchalant tone.

"Alright, guys, let's go. Miles, give me the coordinates to the place," I said. He nodded in return. I opened a portal, and we headed straight there.

We discreetly emerged from the portal and made our way into a very prestigious-looking building. I didn't even know my universe had buildings like this. Eventually, Gwen snapped me out of my fanboying.

"Let's go, guys. I made us fake IDs," Gwen said.

"I didn't even think of that," Miles mentioned. Gwen handed everyone a fake ID but me, obviously because I didn't need one. After showing the bouncer our IDs, we walked in. I was in awe of the place; it looked like a ball for royal families, the kind commoners couldn't dare step into. How had I never known about this building?

"Miles, what exactly is this party?" I asked, earning a shrug in response. Gwen chimed in.

"Apparently, it's a party to celebrate something about Alchemex," Gwen finished. 'Alchemex! Are you serious?' I thought. If Miguel figures out I'm here, I'm screwed.

"Oh, okay, great," I said, feeling slightly nervous.

"Forget this, where's the food at?" Hobie said, and then he was soon gone.

"Well, let's meet up later," Gwen told me before she and Miles disappeared. Now I was by myself. They invited me here only to leave me alone. I decided to take a seat at the bar. It had been a while since I had a nice drink, and today was perfect for one. I quickly noted my surroundings in case something went haywire, making a mental image of every exit in the building. While doing this, I noticed the full beauty of the place.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" a man asked me. I was a little shocked at him suddenly speaking to me. I wasn't even sure he was talking to me. He just chuckled in response. "This place was remodeled a few months ago. It used to be a really old building," the mysterious man continued. "But anyway, what's a handsome guy like you doing all by yourself here?" He asked. I didn't know what to say. Was he trying to flirt?

"Just here to have a little fun," I replied, hoping it was enough to keep his guard down. I didn't know if he was a villain, so I played along.

"That's good because I plan to do the same. Care to drink with me?" the man asked.

"Mind telling me your name first? Then I'll consider it," I said back. I was not drinking with a man whose name I didn't even know.

"Ryker. Now, let's toast," he said, then asked the bartender for two margaritas. "All on me, baby," Ryker finished. Um, ew, I thought to myself. I watched his hands very carefully, not wanting a spiked drink. Nonetheless, I didn't see him do anything suspicious, so I drank some. It was pretty good, other than being a little too strong for me. He smiled as we toasted together. Hopefully, he didn't get the idea that he had a chance with me. Following a few more sips, and some more conversation I noticed the clock around 11pm. I figure if I at least get home around 1am I should be good.
