EM'S POV
I was woken up by a knock on my door. I managed to barely open my eyes, before remembering the events of last night.
"Em...You need to see this." Ky's alarming tone prompted me to get up quickly.
I was sitting on her desk chair doodling in my journal as she sat on her bed, scrolling through her phone.
I took the seat next to her, before looking over at the video playing on her phone screen. I felt my heart hammer inside of my chest as I watched Sasha pushing her body against Billie's. Soon enough, their lips connected. I was desperately praying to see Billie push her off, to no avail. Their kiss lasted a few seconds before I noticed Finn's angry face pushing himself through the crowd of people. He ripped Billie away from Sasha, shouting God knows what.
"Turn it off." I got off her bed, bringing my hands to tug at the roots of my hair.
"Don't you want to see how it ends? Maybe Billie slapped that bi–"
"I've seen enough," I stated, sending a pained look over at my concerned best friend. Ky quickly got up from her bed as she noticed the tears pooling at my waterline. I felt her arms embrace me as I let the overwhelming feelings take over.
I was tired of crying. My past was filled with negative emotions, but I truly thought I'd get a fresh start when I moved to LA. Then Billie came strolling back into my life and that elicited a lot of confusing emotions, but at the end, it felt good. I truly thought both of us were moving forward in the right direction after that whole party drama, but I guess I was wrong. The sight of her kissing another person was painful. The sight of her kissing Sasha was excruciatingly painful.
Knock! Knock!
I groaned as I got out of bed, knowing the person disturbing me wasn't going to go away. I looked at myself quickly in the mirror, noticing my blotchy face and puffy eyes looking back at me. I sighed, knowing there was no use in trying to make myself look presentable. The events of last night were etched all over my face and even all the makeup in world couldn't hide it.
I opened the door to see Billie. She let out a sigh of relief, before her eyes widened at the sight of me. If she thought I hadn't seen that video before, she definitely knew now.
"What do you want?" I spat.
"I just want to explain," the singer pleaded as she made her way into my apartment. I had no choice but to let her in. Billie was stubborn, so I knew I had no way of getting out of this conversation and I preferred to have that discussion inside the privacy of my appartement. I didn't need any complaints from my grumpy neighbours.
"There's nothing to explain, Billie." I stated truthfully. I wanted to scream but I was holding on to the last shred of composure left in my body.
"Look, it's not what it looked like. I was hammered and confused about a lot of things. She kissed me but it only lasted like 10 seconds, it didn't mean anything!" She exclaimed pleadingly.
"I don't care what the fuck it looked like. I don't care about the alcohol and your confusion. Fact is, you kissed her and it took Finn ripping you off of her to make you realize what you were doing." I felt my hands start to tremble violently. All the different emotions I'd been feeling since last night were coursing through my body like hot lava.
"I was drunk, and I'm sorry. And to be fair, it's not like we're in an official relationship–" she tried to explain before I cut her off.
"I don't give a fuck about us being in a relationship or not. Don't try and worm your way out of this over a technicality. You're smarter than that," I narrowed my eyes at her. "And let's not forget about how you reacted when I was with Sam. You were completely jealous and acting like I disrespected you." I pointed my finger at her accusingly.
