"Thank you so much for this."
I gave Ky a smile before shaking my head.
"Don't thank me, birthday girl," I winked at her.
Kyra was turning 23 today. I'd decided I would take her out for breakfast to get some one on one birthday time with her.
I bent down to retrieve the medium sized bag next to my seat and handed it over to my best friend. Her eyes widened at the sight.
"What's this?"
"It's your birthday gift," I shrugged.
"You're already buying this," she pointed at her breakfast plate. "You didn't need to get me anything else."
I munched on a piece of bacon before urging her to open the gift. I was excited to see her reaction. During one of our many shopping trips, Kyra had spotted this amazing dress. It was simple, but truly beautiful, and it fit her like a glove. She looked absolutely breathtaking, and she'd been pretty bummed out once she'd seen the cost of the dress.
